She couldn't kill Tiamat yes, because Tiamat has no concept of death and therefore no lines that can be cut. That's why they needed Hassan to forcibly impose lines of death on Tiamat. Once they did that, Tiamat could be slain (but had other immortalities as well they needed to get around).

Aliens don't, or probably wouldn't have lines that work in relation to MEoDP.

Tsukihime manga is pretty good, it covers an altered version of Arc's route from the VN
that speeds up the beginning a bit and adds in elements from the other routes in original ways changing the story some, but I think it pulls it off pretty well
