Kishimoto can't panel to save his life. He's got a cool art style, but the action is really fucking hard to follow sometimes.
The story is retarded and contradicts it's message constantly
Remember when you literally couldn't even mention Naruto on Zig Forums? You would get shitposted to death
Now Zig Forums likes Naruto. Fuck all of you that derailed my threads when I tried to have actual discussion
>Remember when you literally couldn't even mention Naruto on Zig Forums

Zig Forums has always been okay with Naruto.
Definitely had some of the best villains.
No it wasn't
>Why did people hate on Naruto again
'Love' is too sweet a message for broken otaku.
Is this why they love HunterxHunter ?
hmm, hxh's fan favorite arc (CA) is very heavy love-themed, but i know what you mean, yeah
>80% of the series pushes the theme that hard work trumps talent and that being special doesn't equate to success
>Some of the most appealing parts of Naruto's character development stems from the fact that he succeeded in spite of his overwhelming disadvantages, and was eventually accepted
>Sasuke and Naruto are designed to be two different sides of the Ninja world, one blessed with talent and power through his blood, the other cursed by his own family to suffer through neglect and ostracism
>Through the events of the series Naruto, the one cursed, becomes the hero of the village while Sasuke, the one blessed, falls deeper into despair and hatred
>This entire theme is ignore in the final arc, with the awful twist reveal that Naruto and Sasuke were both in fact chosen ones all along, and that both were destined for greatness this entire time
>Good plot with many twists and everything is properly foreshadowed
If the final 100 chapters were different Naruto would have at least gone down as an okay battle shonen with a well realised world and a large variety of characters, now it's just a joke, a story ruined in it's final arc.
People love to hate popular things and Naruto was the super mainstream, almost Dragonball tier mainstream at one point
Back then one piecetards hated it because they realised it was better than their manga. It was fun seeing their cope that came after Narutos final chapter.
I dropped off a while back and I didn’t realize the Boruto anime did this beautiful shit. Fuck me a full five years later NaruHina still getting wins.
Brainlet reading. Being Asura’s incarnation didn’t make Naruto inherently great, it made him even worse off. Asura, by his father’s own admission, couldn’t do jack shit on his own for the vast majority of his life until he finally was able to stand on his own two feet with the help of his friends and loved ones. Naruto did the same. It’s not a destiny of greatness, it’s a curse of struggle.
Break x Break breaks their hearts with each chapter.
>80% of the series pushes the theme that hard work trumps talent and that being special doesn't equate to success
looks like someone didn't read the series
series could have been amazing if the main character didn't talk-no-jutsu every villain into becoming a good guy.
I got to give credit where credit is due, Naruto's biggest strength is its world building. I still remember so much about all the different nations and characters years after I finished it.
so much this
The degrading art, terrible worldbuilding, uninteresting fights and embarrassingly bad storylines were the main problems. Early Naruto was good though. It all went downhill after Zabuza.
>Naruto, you are the reincarnation of blah blah and only you and Sasuke working together can defeat final villain introduced this arc
The point is he wasn't struggling against destiny the entire time, destiny was the one pulling the strings, he was destined to struggle, destined to overcome that struggle and destined to defeat the final boss, fucking lame.
How is that wrong? This narrative is pushed repeatedly, especially pre shippuden.
You are posting a panel from when Naruti was good. After Pain arc it goes down the shitter.
What is this even foreshadowing?
>How is that wrong?
It makes for uninteresting, pathetic villains with no resolve that have their whole world view turned upside down by 3 minutes of talk from a blonde brainlet that spouts platitudes most of the time.
>This narrative is pushed repeatedly, especially pre shippuden
Which means Naruto was garbage from the start, what are you trying to prove with this?
Yo sorry I replied to the wrong guy, was meant to reply to , you are completely right, talk no jutsu is retarded and Naruto ruined any chance it had of being a classic as soon as Naruto talk no Jutsu'd Nagato into reviving everyone.
Pretty sure you're still replying to the wrong guy.
>Best fights in shonen
>hah, you thought you landed a blow on me but I quickly replaced my body with a tree stump just in time!
>actually, I anticipated that, the person who landed the blow was only a clone, the real me was waiting underground for you to make a move
>now I'm suddenly right behind you and I stabbed you through the heart with a blade
>hehehe, you think you got me, but my magic eyes have fooled your vision. It's actually ME who stabbed YOU from behind!
>yes, you stabbed me, but sadly, this was another clone. An earth clone, and now your blade is trapped withing that clone's body
>that was a good strategy I will admit. But alas, this whole confrontation isn't even real, you've fallen into a genjutsu trap that makes you fight an imaginary opponent
the *point* of the neji fight is that naruto does NOT struggle against destiny --- neji is the one lamenting the fact that he is subordinate to the main branch, the one trying to fight against who he is. naruto and sasuke (and neji at the end!) are initiated into their destinies precisely for the reason that they do not give up on who they are. (contrast with obito, who was destined to be hokage and lost it, or nagato, who was destined to be the chosen uzumaki prophecy child but lost that to naruto for the exact same reason obito did.) it's very consistent.
