To be fair, the author is already trying to make the story more and more his own and rely less on One Punch Mash or the direct HP callbacks, but at the same time some people seem to lose interest because of that. The "battle shonen transition" meme happened way too fast for something that was clearly winning fine without it, the author might have gotten self conscious about it. But now people felt clickbaited and I can't blame them.
It could either ride this early momentum to reach a comfortable mainstay status or crash and burn immediately, it's hard to say at this point.

joke aside to some people mashle looks very cheap and to think that this guy is doing well with this cheap porody while others with more talent and originality might not survive the axe is unacceptable. this is the real issue. but well shueisha is a company shonen manga is a mass entertainment so profit is still important. it's like asking why people still making shitty soap opera that looks exactly the same over and over again. because it sells and that's the point. it would be nice if something unique does well but unique=/=good.

That's the issue here, the bar is so low for jump right now anything that is even remotely not bad will survive.
Not surviving in jump right now means you are fucking awful and somehow failed to gain even a really small fanbase.

Yeah, but it's generally aiming for action/gag with some serious chapters from the looks of it.
JUMP doesn't have anything like that currently so that's why it found its niche.

I think bar for gag and ecchi are lower than battle shonen, sport or "serious" manga. The thing is now the magazine is full of gag. It's kinda funny because there's a period with no gag at all in Jump (after David and Japan were gone and before Mitama).

Mash managed to build a decent bro dynamic with its team and you kinda like them together.
Which is also something AB kinda failed to.

Mashle did definitely better job as its cast consists of coward, incel, slut, siscon and Mash.
Agravity is generally fine though.

AB's weakness is the gags they do can be done anywhere. They could just be in future school like the backstory chapters if that's the case. Why make them stranded in space if you're not milking the setting?

another thing is mashle balance the tone better than bone. bone should be more serious. it's too goofy and it just doesn't work. the art doesn't help it either. there's something about it that makes me can't take the serious moment seriously. it's not that it's rough. mashle and kny art are rough and that's still work.
