No, it has to evolve into a rinnegan after EMS. Even when madara had hirashima cells, it took him until he was an old man to awaken his and I am pretty sure you have to have EMS to do it.

Sharingan -> MS -> EMS -> Rinnegan.

Pretty sure kishi was intended for karin to be her mother, but the backlash had them backtrack to sakura being it. It is the only explanation to explain how Sarada has more chakra than boruto who has uzumaki genes.

He also has Hyuuga genes and they aren't exactly known for their high chakra reserves (especially Hinata).

Why would boruto have more chakra tho? Naruto and Hinata both have mediocre ammounts of chakra at best. And boruto does not exactly have a tailed beast inside of him to provide him free near infinite chakra.

Karin is related to Sarada's birth, it was explicitly stated, but we don't know in which way. Also in all her few appearances (both manga and anime) Karin has shown a big attachment to Sarada, considering that she is usually an angry bitch it seems odd.

Naruto was stated to have 4 times more chakra than Kakashi without Kyuubi and Sage Mode. Kisame was probably the only one in base form to have shown that amount of chakra.
