I scanlate cuz I like it. One manga has like 100000 or something views per chapter, the other is like 1000. I don't really need that.

This, none of the shit I work on is ever even going to get over 500 views, much less 1000, it's purely passion work.

They secretly do it for the views, there is no other incentive to it, views or influence on people who read the stuff they work on and their discord communities where they can act out their narcissistic tendencies.

Imagine not translating for free because you want a series to be in a language more people can understand. I'm sure people covering modern/currently running shit that'll get work regardless might want the views but, again, works from 50+ years ago won't get attention regardless.

I do my series because I think they're fun to read, and because if I didn't edit them they probably wouldn't even be scanlated.
I couldn't care any less what the readers think of it.
