Always liked Naruto but it's a similar thing for me with Bleach. I was lead to believe that it was bad by a handful of people who probably only watched that one video about its decline. I watched and read it and I liked it as much as Naruto. The manga was solid throughout, but the anime kind of dragged at some points. I added Bleach's 1st 2 arcs to my "must watch" list because it was pretty dope.

Based as fuck. Until Chainsaw Man rolled up, I thought I'd never enjoy a shounen series as much as I enjoyed Naruto. HxH is similarly great, but the hiatuses really killed me on it. I'm definitely gonna go back and read the whole thing if it ever finishes though.

Naruto is legit amazing up until the Pain arc. It looses some steam after it but still has some sparks of brilliance especially in both Sasuke centric arcs; Taka and Kage Summit. Then it starts to slowly descend into madness at the Ninja War Arc and it's pretty damn obvious because the written literally bends himself apart to allow the plot to progress. Asspull after asspull and lots of "HAHA THAT WAS MY PLAN ALL ALONG" coming from all of the villains. It still has really cool moments like Itachi and the Kages coming back but man that whole final arc did NOT do justice to the journey that it took to get there. Also I call bullshit on the reincarnation thing that was done just to simplify the circle of hate narrative. Also also fuck the Black Zetsu reveal.
Black Zetsu twist sucked, but at least Naruto got to the root of the cycle of hatred and sealed that bastard.
