that was basically kishi all the time, he never uses different brush sizes for his drawings and loves adding way too much details, so it all melts together

Took too long to get started and leave their starting planet to start the plot off, characters didnt have much of an impact other than MC kinda.

the fact that early naruto was good at all was a direct result of changes made my kishi's editor.

Literally everything. Garbage art, Boring and poorly executed story, shitty characters, bad power scaling. It had no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

Everyone talks about this shit, but I remember when Naruto was still going that Kishi said he wanted to do a story about the mafia next or something like that. He ended up making Mario as a one-shot. I don't remember anything else about it, most people don't even know he made that shit, it was that bland and unremarkable. Basically all he can do is Naruto, barely.

kishi is an idiot. he should take safee route like j+ or monthly magazine. i don't think it's just "huh duh they pressure him" but more like he's too cocky. the art is bad. you could sad individually they might look ok or better than some manga but as manga it's shit. jamming too many details in a frame is stupid caused the manga to lack good flow. editor is shit. he should called them out that they did a poor job. editorial board should give kishi a one-shot first to test the market. so they don't have to wasted money on advertisement.
iirc he said he always wanted to do samurai story. naruto was meant to be samurai but blade of immortal was a thing at that time so he ended up with wizard ninja. i feel a bit bad for him that his passion project failed. but part of it is mainly his fault.
