>protagonist saying "I'm not a protagonist of some manga..."
>"We'll beat them with power of friendship"
>"If we kill the bad guy we're no better than him."
ITT manga/anime lines that trigger the fuck out of you
“oppai...”
>"If we kill the bad guy we're no better than him."
Everyone memes this cliche but I've never see it being played straight. Like with the running with a toast one.
>Noooo nii-chan i don't see you that way
>have you ever heard the story of the bird and snake/frog and scorpion? :DDDD
Please stop.
>"WHAT IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH X?"
Aren't nips all about minding their own business? Why is this a thing?
.I unironically believe that the trope is correct more than a majority of the time and the only reason it's mocked is because of a bunch of cherrypicked moments where it's something ridiculous like sparing an ultra-mass-genocide-murderer, the moral message behind it is still completely valid and that doesn't disqualify it
justice is the correct answer. pussy footing around it and giving someone a second chance when they don't deserve it is retarded.
Except that's not true. The point Justice exists is to restore Harmony. Not every single unfair act in life that is unfair has to be avenged or justified. Otherwise everyone would be getting back at everyone for every slight if Justice itself was it's own moral fact. Justice exists to mediate why things have become disordered and people are no longer living in harmony. Not just for others, but for yourself, spiritually.
Even if it would give justice for you personally, would killing someone who horribly wronged you make you feel emotionally full inside? Would you be able to sleep soundly with the memory of someone dying in pain at your hands, even if it was 'justified'? What if you had doubts about if you truly killed someone justly? What if you spent the rest of your life suddenly feeling enormous guilt because you maybe felt like you made the wrong choice?
That's not living in "Harmony", which isn't the goal of societal justice. Would it be restoring harmony if killing someone who had done wrong would make their children orphans?
Justice should be done with thinking, not just immediate punishment. Even if someone doesn't deserve it, the process is that the MC would be damaged spiritually/emotionally by committing an permanent and fatal act that they feel doesn't have to happen, or could have alternatives. Karmic cycle is a thing, that comes into play. It would feel like perpetuating a cycle of violence.
You can make the argument "Why would you spare someone immediately dangerous?" and that's what I meant by 'cherrypicking', most times realistically the person in question is not so dangerous that they can't be restrained/imprisoned as an alternative. Only in fiction is someone so dangerous they can break out of prison or otherwise with some deus ex machina power.
>Not just for others, but for yourself, spiritually
Stopped reading there, knowing that there was nothing of substance in the rest of your post.
"getting rid of people who do bad things is wrong because it doesn't subscribe to your special definition of justice." no i wouldnt feel bad for removing someone who deserves it. your thinking about this way to broad. not every small crime must be severely punished. whenever the original argument is brought up it has to do with someone genuinely bad. you cant love on borrowed time forever. true harmony is not achievable your are delusional. prison does nothing but give the state figure heads and other private institutes money.
Didn't expect this to be from an h-doujin, what a shame the art looks good.
its a batman stuff
>wake up already friend X
>I wouldn't know unless I try
>Being talkative with someone you're trying to eliminate
>"We'll beat them with power of friendship"
Whenever I see this line I think of the moment in Sonic Heroes when Sonic says "Let's show him the real super power of teamwork!" Every line of this variety should be as hammy as that.
I hate that weird shaky breath thing they do. Deadass nobody does that shit in real life.
>I can't draw people lol jk
Yeah, that's my point; I've never seen it played straight on manga and anime.
The closest thing I've seen in manga and anime is the writer / story trying to make a completely monstrous character look sympathetic.
this right here
>"My strength comes from the will to protect what I love!"
Nah nigga, your strength comes from an outside source that wins all your fights for you, without which you'd be complete shit.
>"is she your girlfriend?"
"noooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggh I mean no- I mean ye- I mean she is my future female clon- I mean aaaaaaaaarrrhjjhdfjfhjhhj".
just say 'nah just a friend' dude holy shit.
You're a STEMcel insectoid. You wouldn't have understood, anyway.
Not that either. Their strength comes from strength. The people and circumstances are just an excuse to exercise it on the deserving.
It's not a line per se but more a cliche scene.
>Character is going to confess or say something important
>the author has spent the last couple of chapters, maybe even the last volume's worth of chapters, building up to this
>"Y-You see... I.... I... I lo--
>CHOO CHOO I'M A FUCKING TRAIN AND THE AUTHOR NEEDS TO DRAG THIS OUT FOR ANOTHER 15 VOLUMES FUCK YOOOOOUUUUUUU
>"Eh? What was that? I didn't quite hear you."
>"I-it's nothing..."
>close up of the speaker's lips as the train goes by
fuck this nonsense.
Yes.
>M-MC-kun, listen! I-
>[fireworks noises intensify]
>Sorry, I didn't hear what you said...
>It's alright, it wasn't important
What kills me is the guys never press the girl to speak up after the initial denial. A simple "it's alright, I really want to hear what you were going to say. Please?" would be enough. Absolutely hate manga that pull this stupid non-development.
"This is not anime, you know!"
>Only in fiction is someone so dangerous they can break out of prison or otherwise with some deus ex machina power
And your entire point collapses there.
>N-NANDEMONAI
>embracing each other
>blushing
>looking deep into each others eyes
>going in for the kiss
>HEY MC-KUN WHAT ARE YOU UP TO- oh wow sorry
>forgetting that it ever happened for like 30 chapters
Let me rephrase: “only in fiction can someone be so dangerous they are impossible to conventionally detain” Obviously people can escape prison. In most examples people use of why you should kill a villain is that their powers can easily break themselves out or are impossible to contain. It is absurdly rare enough irl to be an outlier. And besides, death is an easy release and not a true penance.
I fucking hate it when stupid nip faggots in anime get their little 3 inch dicks all hard over some stupid fucking pieces of cloth
The only time panties are sexy are when they're on someone sexy, fucking virgin faggots
>character says something critically important
>[inaudible]
If you're going to bring up that kind of philosophical argument, I have to point out that justice and harmony aren't even objective things.
>Would it be restoring harmony if killing someone who had done wrong would make their children orphans?
This line of thinking is more utilitarian/consequentialist where it may not be fair to the other affected party, you're valuing the overall "harmony" restored to society as a whole.
Which in turn means that your definition solely rests on justice lying on the majority, in a society.
It means justice can't exist in a non societal setting and the issue with that is that society hasn't been justified to be worth valuing objectively.
There's also the classic of the girl (almost always the girl) going "tsuki ga kirei desu ne" or just obliquely pointing out that SOMETHING is beautiful and the MC (usually male) going "ABUUUUH? I DON'T GET IT".
