I don't really know how to feel.

I love Lain
It’s very good
Lain is a great character
I like rewatching it
Watched Lain myself for the first time a few months ago and liked it alot. Favorite episode is the one where she confronts the nightclub gunman, least favorite is the conspiracy theories one.
Enjoyed the themes/aesthetic/music alot and the plot is serviceable.
I like. But I'm not sure if it's one of my favorites. I like stuff that is heavy and weird, but I feel like Lain doesn't scratch my itch in quite the way I want. It definitely deserve praise for its unique style and ambitious presentation.

it's my favorite anime
>I like stuff that is heavy and weird
What other stuff do you like?
came here to post this
My least favorite was that one with a lot of information about that dude that wants to become a God on the internet and all that, it was too heavy and too much information to digest in my opinion
Besides that, it is perfect.
LETS ALL LOVE LAIN
This is exactly the way I feel about Lain. I'm sure a re-watch will help me to understand a lot more of content, but it's seems like doesn't hit me strong enough.
I was feeling a little disappointed about the show, but now I feel like I was kinda wrong.
Post naked sky lain

That episode was pretty spooky. There's something about watching Lain super late at night.
She killed people, and died for your sins.
Meant for My favorite episode was when she was exposing the Knights.
does it get any flatter than this?
It's one of my favorite. I'm about to rewatch it but just seeing the way she interacted with her family or the lack of it really drove home how lonely she is. Half the show is her talking to herself or strangers trying to figure out who or what she is.
Yes, since she isn't perfectly flat. She is still flat enough.
Once you go too flat, you actually lose flatness due to the curvature of the world.
Lain hits different after 22 years
Watched most of the series, 2am, during an all nighter on the porch of a relative’s wooden shack in the tropical countryside, with the sounds of the jungle, mild yellow street lighting with an insane amount of 3rd world wires buzzing and half collapsed overhead, all beneath the highly visible Milky Way and stars.
How's the other Lain content out there? I know the PSX game is an entirely different scenario, but there are also some books and manga from my understanding.
Honestly, the only reason why I rank Serial experiments Lain lower than Neon Genesis Evangelion is because Lain had a sad ending. I mean Humanity was freed from Lain's presence which was good, but Lain herself was fucked from episode 1. It's so sad...no matter how much she refused to believe that she was a mere AI program and how badly she wanted to believe that she was human- she was NEVER a human being. Tragic.
HOLY BASED!
Lain looks weird lol.
She looks like if she was born in America her name would be Lauren or some shit lmao.
I ship Lain and Arisu.
the only real connection she ever made ;(
Anyone have that pic of older Lain? She was pretty hot.
Yep through out the whole show shes fighting against the truth. Breaking into secret facilities learning about computers just trying to prove she is real. Then it all comes crashing down when Eris starts fucking with everything and she has to step in and accept herself as a program.
