I was going to watch this anime but I read some weird stuff like that it has routes for every girl and that the anime is garbage, so I got 2 questions:
1.- Should I watch the anime or read the manga?
2.- How does the route system works?

Watch the anime, its pretty consistent and then read the rest of the manga, the multiroute system is something the author did at the end to please everybody with an ending for each waifu and is currently in fumino, it only stars in the last episodes of the manga

All routes are canon from the mouth of the mangaka. Watch season 1 of the anime and then read the manga from the start. If you like the anime, watch season 2 in tandem with the manga. The anime's quality is mediocre and starts to jump everywhere with the second season. I wouldn't bother with it and stick to the manga.
