Anyone else tired of tryhard animation in anime? It's nothing more than an incoherent mess of flashy visual effect. This one in particular(alongside the Disney-esque music that was playing) made me feel my brain dying when watching.

The term you're looking for is "forced animation"
FILLER scene done by an amateur and new animator in the latest episode of One Piece. Its sad how the animation industry puts shitty lightning and aura effects over decent choreography nowadays.
>tryhard animation
It says a lot about the intelligence of the person criticizing this when they say stupid shit like this.
This is only a problem in shounenshit made for literal retards and children so I can't say I'm tired of it.
jesus fucking christ
>Is anyone tired of good animation
No? Why would I be?
What the fuck i am even watching
I think you might be developmentally challenged if you think that is 'incoherent'.
The result of animators basing their "art" on other animations instead of movement they see in real life
It's like they're all trying to copy the Boros fight in OPM
It's a fanservice movie what do you expect?
It's only retards who complains about this using retarded shit like "muh choreography" without actually explaining their reasoning as to why a well animated sequence would be bad especially for longrunning anime.
Speaking of retards...
How the fuck is that incoherent?
A lot of the sakuga people like to post are all done by Yutaka Nakamura so that's why they feel similar.
I think a lot of Yutaka's more recent sakuga have been really boring though. Like OP said it's been mostly been a lot of big fancy flashy lights with WIIIILD camera angles lately.
That animated sequence isn't bad.
The point is, good choreography would've looked much better than those flashy effects.
Those fellows were pretty close to each other yet Zoro flew a rather long distance at seemingly very high speeds to get to that other guy. What's the deal with that?
>good animation bad
only on Zig Forums - Anime & Manga
>The point is, good choreography would've looked much better than those flashy effects.
Hey dipshit what is "good choreography" to begin with. It's best to just say you don't like it because it personally doesn't suit me then trying to pinpoint flaws that don't exist.
>Hey dipshit what is "good choreography" to begin with
Lurk more and watch non-garbage anime to understand, fucking moron.
And you can't explain why it's supposed to be good either. Welcome to the club, retard.
It's almost like retards who complain like these don't actually know what they're talking about
This shit was pretty tryhard
>Hey dipshit what is "good choreography" to begin with
The first post you quoted you fucking retard.
Is this tryhard animation?

When you have demi-gods fighting each other , I'd expect some damage, in DBS they're literal god and they just destroy a few mountains here and there.
>And you can't explain why it's supposed to be good either.
It's incredibly fluid and we'll boarded and expresses the kinetic movement and power of Zoro's attack. In the manga it was just one slash movement so I'm not sure what "choreography" would be needed to make it good cause you'll be complaining that a fucking cartoon isn't animated like something in real life.
>no argument
Of course
Is that even forced animation?
As OP said: It's just an incoherent mess of flashy lightning.
Another example of tryhard animation
How is that good choreography retard?
I think the second half was pretty good.
How is it not?
>people would unironically rather have this than the """tryhard animation"""
This place saddens me
Was that initial shot of then idiotically running at each other really necessary?
>Deku charges up his power to unleash a kick whereas Nine uses his shield to protect himself
Wow...so incoherent!
god... black clover and shounen in general is such shit, I even tried and toughed it out for 26 episodes before dropping it entirely and yet some of my friends that like this have that terrible excuse of "it gets good 100+ episodes in", what a great fucking way to spend your time, you could watch 5-10 legitimately good 12-24 ep shows in that time but no, let me watch this fucking garbage that's been running for years and gets nowhere in the hopes that 1 in 50 episodes have a decent fight
>Can't even explain himself
Of course
More tryhard animation
>smug26.jpg
And another one
How the fuck do you shounentards watch this garbage? Here, witness true anime.
What the fuck is up with all that movement? Fights don't happen that way in real life
Is this tryhard?
These ones are actually coherent, well directed and storyboarded unlike the scene in the OP.
I know you like your strawman but nobody is saying "good animation bad", they're complaining about budget being dumped into AMV-tier flashy spectacles with no substance to them. It's mostly just a shounenshit problem though.
Shoddy camera movement aside, this one is pretty good.
>AMV-tier flashy spectacles with no substance to them
Again, what the fuck does this mean? You're using a bunch of buzzwords that make no sense. People called out the OP for being full of shit already so what's your excuse
I think when people say good choreography what they mean is that the animation shows a chain of events in a proper way. There is a clear ebb and flow to what is being shown. Even if I don't know the context of , it is hard to follow what is actually going on, which shouldnt be the case. It seems like the camera angles are being used to hide important info (if it is even there to begin with) rather than highlight it, and it becomes a chore to watch instead of being visually appealing.
OP is very easy to understand if you aren't a retard
>is anyone else a cynical hipster upset that people are putting effort into their awful cartoons when I've spent so much time defending how great the stilted animation drawn by people who failed high school art class is
No, go fuck yourself.
You should be crucified and left as an example for all the other reprobates.
Lord, what a bunch of retards.
Fucking retard.
Forced animation is more like when they add animation to a scene to try to make it look natural but make it look uncanny valley.
This is just a mess of particles and lights
Admittingly that scene in BC us a mess visually because it was animated in blender and rushed so I can see your point but the scene in MHA is easy to follow and there's a direct flow to it as well. What people hate about Nakamura nowadays is that feels like there's less subtleties and finesse like some of his older work and this type of stuff isnt the reason why a lot of people used to regard Nakamura as the best animator in the industry.
