I’ve never seen this show before, what’s it about?

It was considered a good blood & boobs show back in the day, but I haven't heard people talk about it in a long time.

It still remember it well. Its a very good dive into loneliness and fear, expecially for someone like me who has been alone for over 10 years. These are universal themes that resonate with most pople, hence why the popularity of stranger things wich is a watered down version of this anime.
Yes it's cringy at times but i do believe it's unique and nothing since has made me feel the same way.

The anime is a classic in the same way as Naruto and Inuyasha in the west. In Japan, the manga is a cult classic with a small but dedicated fanbase.

I remember seeing it in a Tower Records or something in like 2005 or 2006, so it definitely had a ton of exposure in the west for its time. It's not half bad and the frequent nudity is nice. Biggest complaint is the male MC having uguu~ face, usually much worse than pic related but this was the first example I could find.

It's "pseudo" because at first the MC thought it was another world but then it turned out to be time-travel after all. "Native Isekai" is just a meme oxymoron that doesn't make sense.

It introduces people to the manga which actually has a conclusion.
