Is it just me or is this the best drama anime ever made? No melodrama like veg. If you didn't cry at after story then you have no soul.

>reverse search image to know what show it is
>first result is "X characters death"
Violet Evergarden doesn't have ghosts or dragon balls.
Yea it's fucking dumb how google just loves to spoiler shit. To be fair i got spoiled with this show and still loved it
It's in top 5 yes
>ends with a magic time reset that undoes the tragedy
OH! MY FEELS! Bullshit. It had been great and could’ve been about the protagonist living with loss but NOOOO magic time reset so the otaku don’t cry because her cute waifu is dead
>No melodrama
Let me die of unspecified soap opera disease during childbirth because I refused to go to an hospital until the very last moment when a convenient snowstorm forces us to stay home anyway. Also my daughter will die of the same disease as a child right after her estranged dad finally accepts to take her in, but it's fine because it was all retarded emotional manipulation and magic will alter reality so that everyone is alive and happy.
It was even worse than the generic harem with walking stereotypes
The Toei movie version removes the magic and ends after Tomoya reconciles with Ushio.
I haven’t seen it but knowing that Dezaki directs it, it’s probably 20 times better than the original
>Clannad
>No melodrama
Most of Key's stuff is built on melodrama. It is specifically made to make you cry.
>sol school comedy harem romance where best girl wins, MC marries and gets her pregnant after they graduate highschool, and then she fucking DIES
>sol, school, comedy, harem and romance fly out the window as we watch MC survive the most miserable monotonous wageslave empty life imaginable
>good
Clannad is horror. It's terrifying how real shit got in After Story.
I'm glad someone nuked Kyoto Animation.
Mawaru PenguinDrum is a ten times better family drama that handles the same conclusion properly but has consequences
Is it just me or is this the best drama anime ever made? No melodrama like clannad. If you didn't cry at the end then you have no soul.
Clannad means family.
And great butts.
>mo melodrama
You HAVE to be shitting me, how is space AIDS not melodrama?
I respekt Clannad for being a romance show that goes beyond the first Kiss. We dont have many of those.
>no melodrama
Nigger, the bulk of After Story was melodrama, especially the MC devolving after all the drama and development he had with his own father.

>because I refused to go to an hospital until the very last moment
There was an episode where everyone told Nagisa how retarded that was and she decided she'd go to the hospital, until the snow ruined that plan.
Could you really not read the rest of the sentence?
I did.
>until the very last moment when a convenient snowstorm forces us to stay home
Not saying the snowstorm wasn't cheap, I'm only arguing the part that she refused to go to the hospital.
"Until the very last moment" was referring to how she eventually changed her mind.
>consequences
what, becoming NBR so you can fuck your sister?
you are correct, in fact any thing maeda touches turns to gold
This was a rom-cum
Clannad would have been infinitely better if it was just a family drama focusing on the main guy dealing with his dysfunctional alcoholic father and the ramifications that has on him later on in trying to make his own family. Instead it's a boring slice of life show for the entire first season and about a third of the second season, before forced magic disease hits and kills everyone before being saved by the magic orbs.
>No melodrama
I like clannad but that's just not true, the first season and half the second is entirely melodrama
Nagisa was sickly from the beginning.
But to see the good parts, you first have to sit through over 30 episodes of generic harem.
I do wish we still had this kind of emotionally manipulative VN adaptions.
VNs are dead now.
This is the best melodrama anime ever made, yes.
