It makes me very nostalgic, I haven't watched anime in a long time (ever since most of the new series started to just be moe/Isekai shit, so around 2014) but every year or so I rewatch Code Geass, then Steins;Gate in that order. Usually after that I try to watch something else in an attempt to get back into anime but I end up quitting halfway through.

There are shitty parts, but most of it is pretty good. The main parts I don't enjoy are the Mao arc and the way he prerecorded the video he sent to Schneizel before using geass on him in Damocles.

I'm not sure what you mean by instrumentality. "God" was the collective unconsciousness, all of humanity's memories and spirits etc.. They plan on basically destroying this and somehow this would mean nobody can lie to each other anymore. I had a lot of trouble grasping the concept, I don't know how destroying "God" would make everyone not be able to lie and become corrupted considering God, in this case, is literally all of humanity's memories and stuff.

Why? Rolo pretended to be Lelouch's brother and then was resolved to kill him as soon as he realized Lelouch remembered his true identity. He was also going to kill Nunnally during the attack on Tokyo if the Fleija hadn't been fired. I think Rolo is a sad character and is one of my favorites, but Lelouch let him die with a loving end.
