That marks 72 chapters without Mami. Last appearance, excluding flashbacks, was in february 2019. By chapter 162 she's gone for literally half the entire series.

Well that was an ok chapter but the cliffhanger at the end was annoying.
It was sad seeing Chizuru question her decisions and crying.

I wonder what will happen next chapter?
Will Reiji go with the predictable route of "somehow granny magically knew about Chizuru and Kazuya fake dating all along" or what?

Manga don't need an entire closure of all characters to end, just getting both mc to love each other or starting a relationship is enough.
Then you can expect Mami's ace move as the final arc revealing Chizuru was a rental girlfriend all along, both mc deal with that and it's the end.
