What is your honest opinion on Madoka?
What is your honest opinion on Madoka?
Gen Urobuchi and Akiyuki Shinbo being based
it sucks
never watched it, doesn't look like my type of thing.
It‘s by divine revelation sent by god to judge the unworthy and redeem the pure.
A new religion for our chaotic Age meant to overcome the crisis of modernity and defeat postmodernism on an open field
Best anime of this century.
It's excellent. Not THE very best but definitely close to the top.
Ripped off Ryuki really hard, but that's alright, because I love Ryuki. Still it's only the 4th best thing Urobuchi wrote, so I'm not a major fanboy over it.
I'll never understand the backlash for the movie though, I thought it was great. The only way I'll ever think less of it, is if they never actually make the next movie to end it, but even then, my opinion of the movie will still be very high.
's pretty good
It's a good show. Of course it's not to everyone's taste, but when people say it's the worst anime ever made they're being needlessly contrarian.
It's great but I like episodic magical girl stuff which Madoka doesn't deliver on. It's nice to have gotten the transformation sequences and them all fighting together in Rebellion though. It's visually stunning too. Shaft did a great job with pretty much everything in it related to visuals. I like that they got Ume to do the character designs too.
It was okay and I forgot about it almost instantly.
Began good, dragged on a bit in the middle, ended fine enough.
Never bothered with any of the movies or spinoffs.
why the box heads lmao
Because the character designs were done by Hidamari Sketch's mangaka.
Good thriller. Handles mature subjects surprisingly well given the immature style.
Garbage characters, garbage plot, garbage dialogue, garbage visual symbology, garbage ideas, garbage cash grab movie
Horrific artstyle.
Ruined and saved Yamamoto's career, made a particular drink very popular, made the rest of the decade seem lackluster overall as everyone had to play catchup.
Just watch Magia Record for that
Good anime,i just want to save Sayaka.
Meh, it wasn't bad I guess.
I loved it, one of my favorites. Even loved Rebellion.
It's impossible, Kyouko. Stop trying.
it's okay
I was surprised by how good it was. Wasn't expecting it.
It contains valuable life lessons. For example, you'll always make mistakes but that doesn't mean you've failed
Could have been better.
But it was sexist and stupid at times, to the point that it could be condensed by girl tries to sleep with cute girl and changes the universe to do it.
I like it a lot, but not my favorite.
Love it, one of my favourites. Rebellion sucks.
Incredible. But the longer this drags on, I'm becoming unsure if it is a good idea to make any more. I want it more than anything, but then what happens when that next piece is over? Will they create more conflict and then leave us there again?
Also Magia Record was bad and the only scenes they spent any time on were the scenes featuring original girls so you can tell how much they love their new characters.
Let me fix that for u
Garbage characters, garbage plot, garbage dialogue, great visual symbology, good ideas, garbage cash grab movie
I just watched it, and I'm seriously confused, is everyone in this thread memeing or something?
Forgotten and nobody cares about it anymore and one of the cringiest fan bases around
It's okay, I watched enough anime to not be that impressed when I first watched it, but it's a good gateway series.
Rewatched it recently and I felt exactly the same feeling of unease and depression I felt back in 2011 when I first watched it.
And Iam 28 now.
A work that still holds even almost 10 years later is a fucking masterpiece.
Best anime of the 10s, at the very least. Probably among the best anime ever.
One of the best show i had the pleasure to watch.
to everyone that loves this show, how do you take the characters seriously
A fucking Steins;Gate ripoff.
Gateway to anime in general, or a gateway to wean casuals off never-ending shonen battle manga adaptations?
This. They act out of their nature way too much, for the sake of the plot obviously, characters are a fucking mess.
its good but whenever I talk about it it seems like I hate it because I refuse to say its anything special
How?
right, I like characters like these in Yuru Yuru, but this isn't a slice of life show.
There's no doubt about it that you're being contrarian by saying it's garbage. But to claim that it's one of the greatest of all time? The animation was downright embarrassing when it was airing. The music was nothing to write home about and honestly the script and dialogue also isn't that outstanding. I don't even know anything that it truly excelled at when I think back to it. If anything the genre it's in which is pretty much dead now might have been something to behold but that's it. Anime has a whole? There's a few dozens of better stuff to watch.
It's a pretty show but the characters are rather forgettable
>YUNO ripoff calling other a ripoff
Shut the fuck up newfag
Give it a chance one of these days when you're looking for a short series to watch. Well worth it.
Nice life lesson, but I have 33 years that say otherwise.

People still fervently debate about the characters and their motivations a decade after the anime aired, you can't say that they're forgettable at all
