Skypia is kino

Nope. If Wan Piss had any respect for its side characters, then Wyper would have killed Enel. But they amounted to jackshit and at the end only Luffy mattered. This formulaic shit has overstayed its welcome.
Leo Lewis
Correct. So is Alabasta. So is CP9. So is Marineford. So is Arlong Park. So is Loguetown.
Pre-TS One Piece was kino and Post-TS One Piece is a mark of shame upon it.
Camden Rivera
Enel looked unbeatable first time watching this.
Jonathan Hernandez
How About impel down ? Amazon lily ? those were quite mediocre
Austin Williams
Skypea is peak One Piece anime at least
Jacob Nguyen
Wyper is not a D.
Kayden Sanchez
I kinda liked Impel Down. Amazon Lily wasn't very good, but it was also like, what, 10 chapters long? That was one of the great aspects of Pre-TS One Piece. Relatively shit arc? It's over in 20 chapters at most. Oda doesn't miserably make you suffer through 50 to 100 chapters of it.
Zachary Phillips
Peak One Piece anime is Alabasta, tho
Peak One Piece manga is CP9, but the anime did it fairly well too
Skypiea actually gets kinda fucked over by the anime, since that's when the anime started doing the "1 chapter per episode" bullshit.
Tyler Williams
Juan Reed
>Alabasta
No direction and animation weren't good
> anime did it fairly well too
No pacing went to shit in ennies lobby
Cooper Ramirez
>No pacing went to shit in ennies lobby
No, it went to shit with Skypiea, unironically. That's seriously when they started doing the "1 chapter per episode" nonsense.
And you're right, Enies Lobby was already suffering from poor pacing, which is why I said the peak was Alabasta.
Daniel Thompson
wait there's colored manga?
Cooper Cook
>No direction
Go home you're fucking drunk
>animation
This is true for all arcs pre Ennies Lobby
Adrian Reed
>start binging OP anime on a whim a couple months ago
>get through 500+ episodes in a month and a half
>hit fishman island
>start watching an episode a day, if that
the memes are real. honestly though I didn't care for Impel Down or Maiden island much with Marineford barely picking it back up so I'm sure burnout contributed.
Anyway, has anybody here tried One Pace? Thinking about making the switch
Also I agree with OP, Skypeia was great, couldn't understand the hate for it while watching it.
But it does come between Alabasta and CP9 so I guess it does have some tough competition
Benjamin Rogers
are you sayinf Enies lobby had good animation?
Elijah Stewart
Read the manga. The fact that someone feels the need to make a fan recut of the series just shows it's not worth watching. And you can't fix what's wrong with the anime by something a fan can do with a video editor despite what people who watch One Pace think.
Cooper Hughes
>couldn't understand the hate for it while watching it
I honestly think a big part of it is that this is when the anime's pacing started suffering.
Another is that Oda blueballs you with a lot of info about the world (Whitebeard, Blackbeard, DoFlamingo and Kuma, etc) at Jaya and then sets you on an island that is completely separate from the rest of it on a whole new level.
But of course, now looking at the arcs where the world is actually integrated (they're shit) and comparing them to arcs like Skypiea, it makes me love Skypiea even more than I loved it before.
Cameron Nguyen
>you can't fix what's wrong with the anime by something a fan can do with a video editor despite what people who watch One Pace think.
This, the cuts are jarring but most anime fans are too low I.Q to notice.
Brayden Wright
Bro, you're not gonna survive Dressrosa if you don't go One Pace.
It's already real bad in the manga, it's straight up unwatchable in the anime.
Michael Morris
To say that Alabasta is not well directed is absurd. Also the marvelous character art of Inoe and Koizumi make up for the lack of complex animation
It would be strange if there wasn't one
Yes? it was literally when the anime moved to hd and started having sakuga
Angel Hall
Cloud Quixote had some serious balls fighting a lightning man in a suit of armor
Anthony Anderson
>Yes? it was literally when the anime moved to hd and started having sakuga
Look at this garbage !
youtu.be
they were cutting corners in the OPs for fuck sake, the rest of the arc looked like garbage other than few moments of sakuga. doesn't help that the arc is filled with action so it ends up feeling a lot worse than Skypea
Leo Carter
I get this sentiment, but I really enjoy sitting back and watching the anime, I just need the pace to pick up a bit because its hard to pay attention. Plus I would severely miss the voice acting at this point. (Except Robin's I've always hated her VA)
Yeah I've heard this alot. I didn't want to make the switch because I'm also going to be caught up with the series alot quicker but the pace is no longer comfy, just annoying.
Also what the fuck is up with Frankys design post timeskip, Jesus what were they thinking?
Jason Torres
Wyper did kill Enel he just got better.
Charles Howard
>Also what the fuck is up with Frankys design post timeskip, Jesus what were they thinking?
Yeah, it's real bad. Most of the new designs are worse, I found. It was one of the first signs that shit were about to go downhill real fast.
I do like Nu-Usopp, Nu-Zoro and Nu-Robin, tho
Isaac Robinson
Will end game wano reach pre-TS levels of kino? Feels like post ts has been made solely for this moment.
Jacob Morgan
I was animefag and then mangafag. For me its Sabaody Archipelago > Pre-Grand Line > Skypie > Alabasta > CP9 > shit > post TS
Charles Lopez
Wow, a pure adventurefag. You don't see a lot of those nowadays.
Carson Lewis
The fuck is this post
Jacob Martinez
>Sabaody Archipelago
