I foolishly sold 10% this morning to gamble on shitcoins. I just want to get a bigger AMPL stack between rebases, but it's really better just to hold.
Adam Sullivan
First rule of AMPL is you never sell AMPL
Second rule is see first rule
Jose Harris
feels sooooo good holding through these last 2-3 days fucking niggers don't understand we have so much potential with this coin...
Eli Bell
I love the low IQ brainlets who sell before the rebase and buy after, paying fees to whales making the liqudiity even higher
Robert Wood
If you guys want to easily play with what the rebase % will be, check out this google sheet I made:

Cheers.

He's making spreadsheets! Thanks user

Pretty much this for the next 3 years. $1 EOY
Blake Martin
I could think of removing my initial 3 ETH though then let rest ride forever
Yes it's a nice project with upside, but no need to become extra greedy

AMPL Taxing: You have to think of it in terms of market cap share, which will always remain constant. It's like buying a season ticket for a sports team in a stadium if the entire AMPL market cap was represented by all the seats. You can sell that seat for more or less depending on the demand.
Example:
>Spend $1000 for 0.01% market cap share
Example of each case:
>That 0.01% share is now worth $2000, you sell and now pay capital gains on $1000
OR
>That 0.01% share is now worth $500, you sell and take $500 in loss

AMPL completely trancends normal TA analysis. Its a wild ride man.
John Sanchez
The only TA I'm doing is following the cycles. We'll see if this next one follows suit

The third rule is you literally shill AMPL to everyone you know until the smart commodity money singularity occurs and the entire world is better off
Nathaniel Gutierrez
Generally speaking yes, but as you can clearly see in the chart it’s not possible to time the top or bottom. Too many fundamentals at play. Hype could be more or less each cycle. The risk of swinging this and trying to beat the rebase % is too high whereas the margins are super low. I actually lost a few points of mcap trying to swing the last cycle. There is a dump but they don’t last long enough. So much money on the sidelines waiting to get in for under $2. Likely staying over $2 (average) for the entire duration of the geyser. And then there will be geyser 3.0. So basically, free money for everyone, unironic new paradigm.

tesseract is right on their website...
That singularity concept has come up a few times...
interesting way to look at it and rather on point.

It's already following this next leg up in the pattern here

Guys, why havent they been audited yet? What are the team hiding? They cant even prove that ever ampl is backed. Biggest scam since tether.
Tyler Nelson
What is Bitcoin backed by?
Isaiah Morgan
It's not a stablecoin, retard.
Justin Walker
Neither is AMPL LOL. It's value is what someone is willing to pay for it. People are willing to pay $9000 for 1 BTC, and people are willing to pay $2 for 0.000001% of Ampleforth.
Jack Martin
Ampl algorithmically attempts to return the value to $1 by expanding or contracting supply.
Same thing that Tether does manually. It's a stablecoin
Jonathan Peterson
They did get audited though. They passed all of their initial audit checks, the coin is backs by whoever buys into it. Are you retarded?
Caleb Perez

Xavier Wood
Not exactly. A stablecoin uses a peg. The devs say explicitly that Ampleforth is NOT a stablecoin, but it is meant to function similarly eventually. Calling it a stablecoin only confuses people seeing its value fluctuate between 1.50-3.00 range, since stablecoins don’t do this. Once it finds its marketcap it should be functionally similar to a stablecoin in terms of fixed value, but entirely unique due to the elastic supply protocol
