No, but on a whole the animation wasn't amazing either. The show has a smattering of good animation throughout but there are just as many scenes with extremely limited animation shortcuts, many of which are unappealing to look at.

I think the fact that they more or less duct-taped the series together on that budget and made it both artistically and aesthetically pleasing and more importantly coherent is a minor miracle.
There is artistry in that and it's a shame how many people can't see it.
