Doesn't he realise that every criminal mass murderer he takes down non-lethally
would then be executed by the govt?
Doesn't he realise that every criminal mass murderer he takes down non-lethally
I don’t think he ever had a problem with the state executing criminals.
I think its more of a personal "I don't want to kill anymore, I want that behind me" sort of thing. He didn't exactly shed tears after that early enemy that kidnapped kaoru killed himself
he actually does, that's why he's always hesitant in participating in every combat
from the very first chapter he lets us know that the way of the blade is one of death, but he chooses kaoru's philosophy
Wasn’t there meant to be a Kenshin story time today?
He specifically wants to put HIS past behind himself, he doesn't actually care about others engaging in murder and would gladly sacrifice all of Japan just so he doesn't have to kill anyone
do you have more pics from that exhibition? watsuki's promo art is fantastic
Sadly, no it was just one of the first pics that came up when I google searched "Kenshin".
The only criminals that would have been executed were Jinnei and Shishio. Jinnei killed himself, and Shishio spontaneously combusted. All the other criminals that Kenshin beat were sentenced to prison except for Sojiro and Enishi who escaped.
saito does hint that the conehead was getting executed
for some reason they killed him off in the anime
I just finished watching the episode with the Jinpu Squad. There is no way they wouldnt of been summarily executed and have their heads put on display for assassinating multiple govt officials. I haven't read the manga so I dont know if this is a filler episode or not but the show acts as if Jinpuu Squad leader Tomo will be able to later repent for his crimes meaningfully
That's a filler episode.
Huh, so I was gonna start a storytime thread, as discussed on a thread yesterday, but this one is here.
Should I make a new one or start here?
Oh, you mean Senkaku? Yeah, he definitely got executed, but he fucking deserved it for slaughtering an entire village and showing no remorse. Kenshin feels that he has no right to pass judgement on criminals so he doesn't kill them, but he can't control how the government will sentence criminals either.
In the anime, Senkaku escapes from prison and reflects on how Kenshin spared his life, and is willing to change his ways, but Sojiro finds him and assassinates him to tie up loose ends.
Start a new thread. It'll get muddled up with OP's shitpost if you do it here.
They let him hold a exhibition in prison?
Start a new one
He didnt go to prison. He just got fined $2k
He's not in prison. They just made him pay a fine of $12,000.
Thanks, I will
Still mad all these years later that the anime didn't adapt the last arc. Sure it wasn't the best thing ever but at least the live action is going to do it. Also are the filler Kenshin episodes worth it if I'm starved for more ruroken?
Saito was such a great character.
we still got the best part animated in the OVA, other than that, Kaoru's death is the only thing I wish it got animated. The rest is shit.
They're not amazing by any means, but the filler episodes are kinda fun in their own way. Kenshin goes blind at one point.
forgot to add, the christian arc was fine in my opinion, the rest is not worth it
maybe the funny episodes, like the one with the dog and the wedding ring one
Personally, no, I think they're all garbage.
But some people like the Christians arc.
A few defend the Ninjas vs Knights arc.
No one, not a single solitary soul defends the Feng Shui arc.
Thanks for the reply . I'll give a few episodes a chance and take it from there. Also why did they make an ova of the Kyoto arc? You would think they would attempt to animate the last arc but nope. Was it just to promote the live action films?
It was an anniversary thing, I suppose they wanted to play it safe by re-adapting the most popular arc. Unfortunately, they got everything wrong and it sucked.
At least the OST had some good tracks.
anniversary promo, they did try to make a spin and present it as the kyoto arc through misao's pov, but it sucked
Why bother, really. The best part is already animated in one of the greatest masterpieces of the genre. Anything else is filler.
Did the author not realize that being a pedophile is wrong?
That's the one where Shishio has his head split open right?
