It's 1st August in Japan which means it's 21 years to the day since seven (eventually eight) children went on an Adventure that would change their lives forever. We do not talk about anything past that Adventure for obvious reasons.
It's also the day the rebooted Adventure: started with six kids thrown into their own Digital World and given a plan to save both their own world and their Digimon's world. The next episode takes place on Sunday 2nd August.
Synopsis: Having entered the enemy’s fortress, Taichi and co. obtain information about a Holy Digimon being held captive there. However, Orgemon, who lost in battle against Greymon the last time, becomes wild for revenge and attacks them, and then challenges Greymon to a match. A violent battle between Greymon and Orgemon begins on the grounds of the fortress. The battle becomes extremely intense, with neither of them backing down. Then, a unit of Coredramon controlled by Soundbirdmon launch an aerial attack. Sora and the others try to evade the attack somehow, but there is nowhere to escape within the fortress, and they fall into a crisis.
Wouldn't it be non-canon now because of the remake?

Is this Adventure reboot turning out okay so far? I was really dissapointed with Tri.
Brayden King
it's pretty decent so far

This isn't a general at all, nice
Gabriel Bennett
the remake is the non-canon
Ryder Turner
It's not meant to be.

It's alright. They're still getting the cast together 9 episodes in, and it's definitely focusing harder on Taichi and Yamato (in that order) more than the rest of the cast. But the writing is reasonably competent and the Digital World itself looks good.
I hope that things can settle down a bit, or otherwise focus on the "Adventure" aspect a bit more. They kind of fucked it up by giving them the Chosen One speil right away instead of letting them wander around figuring things out on their own, but there's still a chance they can explore without guidance.

Hopefully we get that Adventure feeling after this episode.
Adventure: confirmed for 66 episodes? Would be the longest single Digimon season (ignoring XW's title nonsense).
Camden Jackson
That's a hell lot of episodes planned. Makes me wonder why they seem so hasty introducing perfects if so. New mons? >Digimo Survive might in fact survive

66 episodes?

It's rather a lot. Unless there's been a misinterpretation between the start date and end date due to Coronamon effectively holding up the series.

Must've been my absolute favorite franchise as a kid. I didn't really like the first 3 episodes, they had that strange, rushed pacing, but the ones that came after were quite good. It does indeed give me digimon adventure vibes (more than tri) since they have reached the digital world.

Episode 4 was bad and made me worry that they blew everything in the first 3 episodes but I'm glad that wasn't the case. It has been pretty good after that. I just hope that after this arc is over the kids start showing some flaws. I know it's silly to compare it to the original given that it basically only shares character names but I miss the "internal fighting" the group had at the start of the series.

>Episode 4 was bad and made me worry that they blew everything in the first 3 episodes but I'm glad that wasn't the case Always remember that Toei hates Sora.
If they fuck up Garudamon's evolution then the meme is real. I'd assume Birdramon is getting shafted because animating a bird made of fire is hard so Garuda should be more manageable. Also her perfect evo sequence in the original was cool as hell.
>Takeru that low Isn't he one of the most popular adventure characters?
Zachary Adams
>Izumi Wrong series. It's Koshiro.
Favourability is going to be more like this:
>Tier 1 Taichi Yamato
>Tier 2 Koshiro Hikari Takeru
>Tier 3 Sora Jou Mimi

He's basically a walking plot device for Yamato. So everything he does will revolve around his onii-chan, and once the issue is resolved and the death of Patamon he'll fade out to let Taichi and Yamato keep running the show. Hikari is higher up because she is the deus ex machina for the whole series.
