Dude, Fate is like soooo hard to get into, you know?

>Dude, Fate is like soooo hard to get into, you know?
>There's like a hundred Sabers (do you mean the class or the character lol)
>Do I start with Apoc? Zero? Last Encore? It's sooooooooooo confusing! Those Fate fans are fucking weirdos, amirite? Who could unironically like this mess?
Why are normies like this? Just start with Fate Stay Night. You don't wanna read? Whatever, just watch the anime. It doesn't matter which one, either one is fine. That's the ONLY important thing in this franchise. All the spinoffs are irrelevant; most of them take place in different universes. Almost all of the Saberfaces are irrelevant, and they don't even look all that similar. Anyone who can't tell Artoria, Mordred, and Nero apart visually are literally faceblind. I hate when Fatefags try to sound smart by frontloading all of this unnecessary info at newcomers to intentionally confuse them, because all that does is obfuscate the franchise when it's actually extremely simple.

Do people just forget wikipedia's exist?

Did you watch some retard on YouTube or something?

Your strawman is right on this one though
The hell happened to Fate after the trilogy and zero?

Gonna watch this soon. SN or Zero first?

They discovered that they could milk it forever with gacha

Despite being titled after the once inaccessible PSP game, Fate/Extra: Last Encore doesn't actually depict the events of the original game as an anime. Rather it would be the equivalent of playing a hard-modded version of the game you bought from a nearby Chinatown which includes oddities like the MC's face glitching out and Lancer's model not appearing so that his clothes can be on Rin instead.

That's fine, let the retards show themselves once they infiltrate.

I mean, there were already a dozen spinoffs and what-if routes before the Grand Order came out.

It's just like Western capeshit. You do not know where to start and figuring out a proper order is like delving into conspiracy shit

I guarantee that he did cause I remember seeing a video with these same arguments word for word, think it was some anitubers podcast or something

>anitubers
what is a antituber

Sadly, yes. Also not a strawman

The Asian guy isn't doing too bad of a job explaining it, but then those two faggots keep interrupting it because they wanna be "wacky" and keep up the illusion that Fate is hard to get into for the sake of clickbait, when it really isn't.

Probably it was from here

I like that fatefags do this because fate is shit so the more people are spared from it the better.

Youtubers that make their shekels by talking bout anime

yup thats the bloke, honestly idk why he makes it seem so hard, i'm not a fate fag but watched all the shows except the pedo ilya shit and i'd say I got a good grasp on the story, I just think most fate fags are terrible at explaining shit

kek, that one guy losing his mind when those two are trying to explain it

Will FGO ever get a good anime?

this
seriously just let them watch whatever they want, this is not monogatari

>Will FGO ever get a good anime?
That would require the source material to be good so no

Jeanne is hot as sin (oh the irony) and her part has Jack the Ripper as a loli, Mordred son of Arthur Pendragon getting mad at getting called a girl, and an assassin who gets to create a base and use magical abilities. Also Achilles and a horse get to have a badass fistfight.

behold, best girl has arrived

I will never understand why any of the fate games are never adapted accurately
>F/sn VN
First route never adapted properly
>Fate/grand order
jumped straight to the 7th singularity and now are making the 6th singularity
>Fate/extra
didn't even try to follow the game

Does Nasu have something against getting his stuff adapted in a sane and comprehensible manner?

Attached: 1584805650178.jpg (524x435, 132.2K)

>no one understands the fate franchise
well that's probably because nasu is a hack and the story of FSN doesn't make any sense in the first place

Depends on your taste in anime.
I prefer Zero so when no info is given I say start with that first. Never start with the 2006 Fate first though.

I don’t even like Fate I just like jerking it to the hot designs

How can you make a good adaption of a gacha game's shity story lmao?

Zero is unironically a better introduction to the Fateverse than UBW. It also helps that it's actually a good show.

I liked Apocrypha but it really needed to be 50 episodes long

Kariya did nothing wrong. Worms ate his rational thinking skills.

zero it is then. thanks.

But it's cool to be wacky, whooawhooa!!
Seriously, fuck those guys.

Don't just jerk off to that bitch.

Fate does not adapt well period. It's already subpar in it's native format(s) but porting it to anime means you now want it to cater to a broader audience, meaning you skip shit like inner monologues, which account for tons of exposition, lore and context, which in turn means you either have to adapt loosely or just change everything up entirely while keeping the setting.
They're not wrong though, because ultimately all normies want to see out of Fate is servants clashing and using cool powers, they couldn't care less about the jumbled mess that is fate lore, if it looks cool and has cool visuals it's enough. Sadly many of the adaptations fail even at just being eye candy.

>Sadly many of the adaptations fail even at just being eye candy.
Fate has been having a pretty good track record lately on that front though. The Ufotable adaptations look fancy and Apocrypha and Babylonia assembled a strong team of young animators to deliver wild action animation.

If you HAVE to watch it (not recomended) then either go all the way and go with the VN, or just watch Zero and drop it altogether. If you're willing to read up on the wiki for some context watch Carnival Phantasm too.

haven't we asking the same thing for 14 years for fate/stay night? give up

>normies

The gaccha money works and it took them long enough to get the message. Apocrypha is a mixed bag though, it has good moments but not all the time.

As a pedophile I quite enjoyed Ilya. Should I watch Stay Night or is it completely different tonally?

300 are on one ship, 200 on another.
500 total passengers and crew including you. Let's assume these are humanity's last survivors, giant holes open up in both of them crippling them. You alone have the ability to repair a ship. Which ship would you choose to fix?

>it's a gacha game so the story must be automatically bad

Apocrypha's production schedule wasn't as good as Babylonia's but the animators generally managed to deliver consistently good action and the final arc was especially strong all the way through.

UBW and Heaven's Feel have been done pretty well, it isn't that hard if you're doing one route at a time

this is the second time gigguk tries to explain. red bard did a better video. Not linking because fuck eceleb

>Worms ate his rational thinking skills.
>implying he had any to begin with

Wrong thread bud.

babylonia was good

>I don't like

i did, so whatever

is this your first fate thread?

Tried like 4 hours of the VN then dropped it, fuck man wish I was 15 again so I can enjoy this
