What do you guys think of sub or dub elitism?

I think you should kill yourself.
Only the original language is best.
like most arguments about media and how to consume it it's pointless and stupid
Do what you want, original isn't always better. Though I've never seen an english dub be any match for the japanese one.
I just watch the original. Like vampire hunter d: bloodlust the original langauge it was made for was english by the studio. The japanese is the dub
It doesn't matter
this thread has been made a billion times
The only dubs you need are for checking.
Also, my favorite voice actor is Christian Bale who had a role in Howl's moving castle.

>dub
ew
Dubs add another layer of cringe, I can stomach some things in Japanese but when I hear them said in English it makes it even worse.
Subs usually fit the characters more.
When the most overhyped dub has shit like this
youtube.com
then you know the rest isn't even worth bothering with
It's pointless and stupid for the same reason the flat Earth arguments are pointless and stupid - one side is made out of legitimately mentally ill subhumans.
Damn, Jesus got his whole grip on Kanna's slapmeat.
>one side is made out of legitimately mentally ill subhumans
you mean the side of people who care about if someone watches the dub or sub and the other side which is non retards
everyone can read. its not that hard
say my burger fat ass
There is no such thing as dub elitism. What is there to be elitist about?
>But I can watch the carefully crafted animation instead of locking my eyes to the bottom of the screen since I take 3 seconds to read a line of text!
/thread
exactly stupid animation is a thing meant to be watched you shouldn't act like you're better than someone cause they don't like having to read their visual medium
If they're canonically supposed to be speaking English, or whatever other language the dub is in then it's acceptable (so long as the dub doesn't sound like it was phoned in).
only if its UK english and not shitty burger
but that's the best form of english
The anime I posted takes place in burgerland though. It wouldn't make any sense to use UK English.
Shit bait
that usually lasts for a few minutes until someone calls them a retard
then they smoothly transition to preferring dubs so they don't have to look at the screen while they watch it, because they have better things to do
If you have better things to do don't watch anime
bait? but that's what I believe I recently watched both the English dub and sub of an anime and while the English dub had poorer performance I did enjoy only having to focus on the action and never having to focus on the subtitles
i really don't care anymore
>so long as the dub doesn't sound like it was phoned in
We're rarely that lucky, dub voice acting is awful and the setting being western doesn't matter that much
There's something about the way most English dub talents exaggerate their voices. There are ways to sound exaggerated while still being able to be taken seriously but it feels like the majority of dubs have this awful, cartoony exaggeration that can't be taken seriously at all.
