theres a lot of really funny over the top sexual stuff like kiss x sis and junk boy, golden boy as well to a degree but golden boy had a lot of genuine merits as well
then theres stupid funny stuff and non comedies that are funnier than comedies Grand Blue i recently watched and found very funny. I feel like Jojo's bizarre adventure can get really funny and the show eyeshield 21 is hilarious because of how weird and silly it is but it's a sports anime.
Original dragon ball is really fucking funny at first, dragon ball gt is also pretty funny
I found hayate the combat butler pretty funny
anyway lots of anime i can't even remember really, there's lots of legitimately funny anime, but you have to understand a lot of the humor sounds weird because translators literally like don't even translate jokes sometimes like they'll translate a joke as like "yes" or like some serious statement and as well as that most humor is based on semantics anyway which usually only translate when they're noun based puns using borrow words. Situational comedy is more important and can be a lot funnier though, i'd say
