I feel like this character represents the epitome of how Oda has unreasonably nerfed devil fruits with the introduction of haki. With Law he made a power so OP - no pun intended - that he doesn't seem to know how to utilize him. Theoretically his power should be making people like Kaido and Doflamingo look utterly helpless. There's no reason this guy shouldn't be able to just waltz up in there and solo Kaido's entire crew by just swapping their bodies, chopping them up into little pieces and having them float helplessly in the air. This guy should be the pirate king yesterday.

Let's talk about the Scabbards.

Cat and Dog are each roughly equal to Jack and could have killed him if they teamed up. What needs to be noted though is that unlike Jack both of them had breaks, so in a straight up one on one until death Jack should win against their base form. Obviously jobs to either in Sulong.

Ashura kind of humiliated Jack, but didn't actually defeat him, still he could also be considered almost Yonkou Commander-tier just like the mink kings.

Izou was an Yonkou Commander for Whitebeard who had the second highest bounty in the series and performed fine in the recent chapter. Strong guy, probably (or hopefully?) stronger than the above three.

Kawamatsu holding back King for a moment is nice, but not sure if you can place him YC-tier yet. We need to see more of him.

Kanjuro is Kanjuro.

Kiku presumably killed Kanjuro, that's great. But where is Kanjuro compared to Jack and co.? Like Kawamatsu, it's hard to judge yet.

Kinemon and Denjiro seem like the strongest. Especially Kinemon's sword skills and Kyoshiro having no problem facing Zoro. In fact before the reveal even Ashura was wary of him. I imagine only Izou should be close to them in power.

With so many strong guys, they should be able to face King, Queen &, Jack in groups. So it seems weird that they'd go after Kaido first instead of trying to split them up and fuck as many as possible of the stronger BMP.

I don't think devil fruits were unreasonably nerfed, it has more to do with how we reached a stage where it wouldn't make sense to die off a fire blast for example because of how strong characters are. That being said, DFs will be back in Teach's arc.

And if you follow this line of reasoning, you should realize that the entire raid is retarded. They should've teamed up with Luffy and their other top tier allies to defeat the big shots from the beast pirates one by one, instead of rushing into a huge war with ALL of them where they will be outnumbered. When your military force is smaller, you use guerilla tactics to dismantle your enemy bit by bit.
