I just got finished watching the BDs of this show and I enjoyed it a lot. Good characters, interesting premise and visuals, surprisingly solid soundtrack. What were the threads like when it was airing? I feel like I missed out on a lot if good memes.
ID Invaded
>I feel like I missed out on a lot if good memes.
You did but good number.
Glad you liked it. It got a very positive reception here when it was airing. Threads for original anime are usually fun by default, but these were even better since the show provided good speculation material and kept up its quality until the end.
>What were the threads like when it was airing?
Pretty sad
I never would have predicted on the first episode that this guy would become my favorite character.
Don't worry you can still follow on the sequel manga threads
I really really liked this cutie. Wanna kiss her without warning
Is the animation better in BD version?
I'LL SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE
I dunno but the gore is uncensored. You get to see Kaeru have her face ripped off, tongue pulled out, etc.
Good times were had.
>I never would have predicted on the first episode that this guy would become my favorite character.
Now you're really in the mindset of those of us in the threads
>What were the threads like when it was airing?
Rape
Such is life in the wards
As you'd imagine, lots of drill memes. lots of run like a samurai memes. Lots of talk on how the chief couldn't be john walker because it was too obvious. Lots of talk about hondoumachi's butt. some talk about how the well-siders are all bland except for pi guy. some good memes about pi guy's massive forehead.
But in truth, the threads were pretty quiet. Which made them pretty comfy.
Not to sound pretentious but I really think shows like this filter the average Zig Forums user which is why the threads were so civil and nice.
WE CAN GO WE CAN GO LIKE A SAMURAI
WE CAN GO WE CAN GO LIKE A SAMURAI
IZA MAIRO IZA MAIRO LIKE A 45
OOOOOOOH
DO IT LIKE A SAMURAI
Threads were great.
Now read the manga and join us in the manga threads.
It had good ideas but threw them out the window as the show went on.
>Lots of talk on how the chief couldn't be john walker because it was too obvious
This was one of my few issues with the show. That was way too predictable.
And then you get anime like Deca-Dence which has a filter but not nearly enough so retards keep leaking into the threads.
>but threw them out the window
What ideas were thrown out?
Yeah and now these days people are like "YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHO JOHN WALKER WAS, IT WAS OBVIOUS FROM THE START" when like, the threads were very much of the opinion that that was too obvious.
It's okay that John Walker's identity wasn't a huge twist guys.
MC was able to breakdown the suspects.
ID wells were an interesting concept but whatever they did with the desert episodes pretty much destroyed whatever twist they were going after.
I still think the coolest scene of this show was the wise old mentor recommending Hondomachi for well detective wasn't because of her skill for analysis but because he knew she was a potential psycho and wanted her out of the way of active duty
The cutest little psycho.
The sexiest.
She got my interest when she willingly drilled a hole in her head but her stone cold knifing that guy really cemented her as my kind of girl.
The first episode (first 2, technically) was a gigantic filter. Even I was really tempted to drop the show after it because it looked like it made no sense and was too pretentious. I'm so glad episode 3 makes things more clear and was fully sold at WE CAN GO WE CAN GO LIKE A SAMURAI
edit of this picture when?
I remember when the first two episodes aired some weeks early the few threads that popped up were mixed. Beyond the rayman memes, people were complaining about the exposition and pacing, and wondering if the entire show was going to be in the fragmented world. And looking back on it, i think that is somewhat justified; the show doesn't really ease you in to the setting. There was some anticipation, but when it started airing and it became clear that each case would have its own unique well there was a lot more excitement.
I think it was actually a pretty well executed twist. I thought he was 100% a red herring. But it was a kind of double-red herring.
How did the show sell? Is there any hope for a season 2?
