Ripple's had a lot of time to work on actual partnerships and use cases for the network, but doesn't mean anything if really big banks and governments decide to make their own product or reject the ripple network. The lawsuit failing could pump the price, but it could also go through and tank it. XRP was mentioned by name by the OCC report on banks being allowed to regulate crypto, but not without criticism of it. There's a lot of "what if's" keeping the price down in the last 2 years, but it could be a gem in the future. It already has more utility than bitcoin for quick transactions, remains centralized (i.e what SOME businesses actually want), and has no cultural connection to crime and buying drugs. I'm just a retard, but I'm planning on holding a small stack just to see where it goes.
