Ampleforth literally made every single stablecoin and crypto currency store of value completely pointless and obsolete. Why? No token requried, no governance, not backed by anything other than it's own protocol, just like Bitcoin. You are witnessing the rise of Ampleforth to the #3 spot on CMC right under there where it belongs.
In August, we are going to see $5 Ampleforth. We are going to see $7 Ampleforth, we are going to see multiple instances of double digit ampleforth.
WARNING: THIS THREAD IS BEING SCREENSHOTTED AND MONITORED FOR IDIOTS.
The first generation of whales (n1) have sold and rode off into the sunset. Remember $3.82? They crashed it down to $1.50 and the rest is history.
The second generation (n2) have also come and gone. Are you seeing a pattern?
For simplicities sake, lets assume we are in the midst of n3. This time, with the market cap being an unprecidentant 500M, it's going to be harder to become a whale (it's more expensive to buy a larger % of the market cap) and its going to be HARDER to crash the price to under $2 (ATH volume, ATH liquidity, ATH fomo)
However, there will be points when whales need to cash out large sums. Traders who attempt to swing the rebase "dump" are often times unsuccesful. I myself have lost quite a few % of market share trying to swing a week ago. Lesson learned. It's not impossible, but the awareness right now is going parabolic and new money keeps flowing in. Holding is smarter.
>In August, we are going to see $5 Ampleforth. We are going to see $7 Ampleforth, we are going to see multiple instances of double digit ampleforth. i'll drink my moms piss if this happens.
Only thing I disagree with here is us seeing anything over $3.50. Enormous swings will happen here because if you think about it whales will be 3.5x their AMPL value at that point and the payout will be ludicrous.
Kevin Scott
I actually sold my other alt coins as soon as I understood AMPL because it effectively renders them useless. Its beauty is its simplicity which is also why it's so confusing for people to understand.
Hudson Wood
We simply don't know what will happen. Price fuels fomo, $3.50 could be gas lighting the run to $5. It's a 35% rebase, no whale can dump more than that, not anymore. They've cashed out. Check ethplorer. It's "nouveau riche" now, 200k-500k Lamborghini whales. Not gonna move a 500M Mcap with THIS much volume and demand.

So how does this work as a stable coin when you don't know how many ampl you're going to get in your wallet each day
And why would people keep their money in it when it's at a 100 billion market cap when it's not going to go up much more and it's not backed by anything
Colton Ward
To expand on swing traders, join the telegram group and ask how many of them have lost money swing trading only to buy in AT A LESSER MARKET SHARE. That will tell you everything you need to know.
There's at least 10 enormous multi million wallets and they will make waves, but I agree with your consensus that its so entirely unlikely that they will tank the price. Buy pressure from what I have seen is nothing short of insane.
Brayden Cox
Some of those are locked investor wallets, you're also probably seeing the Uniswap decentralized pool, exchanges, etc. Hate to be smug about it but I'll be long gone in 60 days and wont see it all unfold
are you just holding in your wallet or are you in the geyser
Jackson Morris
>So how does this work as a stable coin when you don't know how many ampl you're going to get in your wallet each day
Because your overall percentage of market ownership remains constant. If/When the price settles out around a dollar, as it is designed to do, there won't be major swings because whales are getting fewer and fewer as market cap grows.
>And why would people keep their money in it when it's at a 100 billion market cap when it's not going to go up much more and it's not backed by anything
Because there currency will then NOT have major price swings and it should be relatively stable. But since your overall market ownership remains constant, there's no pressure to hold and expect to make fatter stacks at a later date. It can then be used as a form of currency, rather than a speculative investment. As to your last point, what's Bitcoin backed by? What's the dollar backed by? There are several answers to the last one, but the most important and accurate one is a general consensus that a dollar has value.

Apparently wechat is catching on which means the Chinese are waking up to AMPL. Get ready for another expansionary phase boys.

If you are an AMPLchad, then the next step is to become a STAtesman

Dether. 1 Million Marketcap. Coinbase. No ReBase and other shit to think about.

>Apparently wechat is catching on which means the Chinese are waking up to AMPL. Get ready for another expansionary phase boys. wtf i love china now
i swear to god these threads are always packed with pseuds wracking their brains around rebase this and calculations that how much rebases would need to be at X% for Y return blah blah my god just watch the market cap not that hard
Lincoln Collins
You could have drunk all kinds off piss. But you choose your mother's .... Hhhm
This is basically every day for AMPL except during the downswing, and even then those only last 24 hours before you're doubling your initial investment again. Its actuially fucking retarded.
Mason Jones
I know but it's usually slower. This is crazy fast especially after the supply has expanded way more times.
Evan Rodriguez
The road to equilibrium HAS TO BE paved with tens of thousands of multimillionaires (that’s us) in order the reach a safe, reliable, and strong market cap immune to economic shocks. This is literally the most fair thing in the world.
Lincoln Brown
Demand for this under $2 is so immense that people are just fomo buying. We're getting to the point of doubling the amount of wallets from 7000 on Monday, growth has been almost completely linear.
I understand, I want people to cash out on this because they deserve it and it paves the way for the long term holders to slowly rise up from new buyers. Initial investors should always get the most pay out because their intuition led them to the water in a desert full of shit.
