How come people get so upset at new words used to describe certain things. Words like coomer for instance are useful words and it seems like the people that word describes are the ones that get the most upset about it and tell you to go to Zig Forums. Reminds me of another group of people who don't like to be identified.

-oomer, cuck, simp, so(y), and all those other words aren't in their own right bad, but they're used almost exclusively by retards in bait threads to make people angry. it's not like it's exclusive to new words either, it's just old words like troll barely get used anymore anyway. there's literally no benefit to using them when talking about anime. saying an anime character is such a simp zoomer means absolutely nothing.
On top of that Zig Forums doesn't serve first timers, if we were fine with Zig Forums lingo crossboarders might get the idea that Zig Forums isn't as bad as they think it is and start posting here for fun

Why? It's a useful description of a specific character type: a character that may appear strong but whose function in a story is to lose to make another character look better. It's wrestling slang with a specific meaning that useful in general for stories.

It's a single word to describe what otherwise would take more words to. But it's more that people on Zig Forums reject the ideas that the words describe than the words themselves. If I called someone a masturbation addict it would set off the same reaction because the truth is that Zig Forums is opposed to the idea and just uses the words as scapegoats because linking to Zig Forums is a lot easier than actually putting forth an argument.

Those word describe ideas. I'm sure there are other words you could use than simp but there are characters in anime that embody that idea. Zoomer's a bit harder to justify probably but I'm sure there are characters like that too. It's all scapegoating in order to avoid an argument. Sure, like you said, those words are just spammed too sometimes with no intent of actual discussion (and the mods should crack down on that) but that has nothing to do with the words.

No I'm just not some "Zig Forums culture" faggot that justifies its own local shitposting while shunning anything that doesn't fit that mold of shitposting. Zig Forums is certainly better than most boards but it still has its own bullshit that has nothing to do with anything from other boards. But a lot of people condone that while getting mad at any words they view as being from other boards, regardless of how useful they are in describing characters or the people who post on Zig Forums. The largest problem is that mods don't do their jobs. Certain words being used wouldn't be an issue if they did. "Self moderation" is usually a euphemism for encouraged shitposting. Shitposting that derails any threads that could possible result in good discussion just because specific words or images are used or certain series or types of series brought up. It does nothing to make the board good and usually does the opposite.
