read the first few chapters of this. I don't understand the ratings this manga gets.
Its quite boring and the art isn't even decent.
Spirit Circle
Pity bump
Should have read Biscuit Hammer first, Sengoku Youko second and Spirit Circle last.
>read the first few chapters
Fuck you and the donkey you rode in on, homo
First few chapters are pretty bad compared to the rest. But you should read Biscuit Hammer first anyway.
Very overrated on Zig Forums. The author has some ideas but he's terrible at building an actual story with them and his worlds always feel empty and fake.
Samidare was mediocre.
Samidare is easily just as good as Spirit Circle.
>his worlds always feel empty and fake
They're full of little interactions which actually makes the cast feel more real. It's pretty great. If anything Mizukami is underrated on Zig Forums nowadays.
>read the first few chapters of this
Read more, the lives get better as it goes. Or dont and drop it.
I like Biscuit Hammer, but its the weakest of his main 3.
HnS > SC > SY
Hence why you read it first.
until what chapter? Its not interesting thus far. Seems more like a normie manga
>>Samidare is easily just as good as Spirit Circle.
Precisely, they're both mediocre.
They're the same.
I don't understand how this guy manages to shit out this stuff on seinen magazines, I would get bored after 3 pages if I were a nip and bought a seinen magazine only to find one of his manga inside. I always feel like I'm reading some generic shounen with no attractiveness when I'm reading one of his manga. It always feels like he bites more than he can chew.
Nah you just have shit taste. "muh seinen muh shonen" is bottom tier kind of criticism.
>Seems more like a normie manga
What the fuck is that?
Second life, that guy with the adopted daughter.
Hunter x Hunter is better.
That's not the point, the point is that I would expect a work this bland in a shounen magazine, not in a magazine with more expressive freedom.
Seems like you're butthurt someone criticizes something you like. Mizukami is a hack, deal with it.
I got hooked at Flors and Houtaro, so 10-15ish.
Like, Hoshi no Samidare was so bad that I can't remember a single thing about it, and I even bought it on Zig Forums's suggestion. Never again.
Planet With was pretty cool
>you're just butthurt
Great, more riveting criticism. I'm the first to criticize the lows of these manga, such as the first volume in Samidare (pretty generic, much weaker development than what comes after, which is made obvious when you see Yuuhi later on having a second arc related to his grandpa and this being a lot more intricate and interesting) or the ending in Spirit Circle (not bad by any means but the story clearly peaked with Lafalle). What you're doing is just calling names like a retard.
>it gets good at 15 chapters in
Isnt that just a sign that the manga is bad?
It was fairly mundane until the scifi arc, which had me excited as hell, and from there a chain of events quickly fall into play that keep things pushing forward towards the conclusion.
Considering its pacing, no. That said I did say it was bad before that either.
The Lafalle story was probably the most retarded one and the one who truly shows the lack of creativity and ability of the writer. The world is empty, the characters are one dimensional. Everything about it feels generic.
Guy tries way too hard and falls short everytime.
Then what do you like, Im genuinely curious as to what you consider to be better. I'll give it a read.
what makes it interesting though?
There doesn't seem to be some end goal.
>world is empty
What the hell does it mean? There are a lot of elements that come into play, whether it's history, politics, the slow change in how humans perceived life and death in a "technology too good" kind of setting, terrorism, even religious/mystical stuff and mystery with that weird spirit appearing everywhere. It's definitely not empty, especially for something that only lasts a volume.
>the characters are one dimensional
Lol no. Even that guy who appeared like 5 pages got his moment. Every character has multiple things driving them, issues and conflicts, none of them is objectively right, they want to raise children, make a living, stand for their ideals, or just happen to be there on a whim. Some are deeply traumatized, some bond over the years or over some small experiences, there's definitely nothing one dimensional here, especially about Lafalle. Hell, even that secondary director character talked a lot but actually was doing dangerous illegal stuff behind the scenes.
So you spent 10 minutes reading it and that's enough to come here and make a retarded thread. Typical kids
get better taste
looks like most of Zig Forums are normies who will probably rate "I want to eat your pancreas" 9/10 or 10/10
and then rate something 1/10 because a single rape happens
Berserk is highly rated even among normies
Your taste might somehow be worse than Zig Forums's
