Kaoru is an obnoxious twat, the violent tsundere outbursts on Kenshin sometimes for no good reason, combined with her getting pissy or depressed any time Kenshin leaves her presence is so annoying. Head of a Kenjutsu Dojo, yet still a shitty damsel in distress or bath warmer that gets no fights. She makes the whole series worse just being it.
Well, let's not get carried away. "Violent tsundere" typically brings to mind characters like Louise and Taiga, and Kaoru is nowhere near as abhorrent as them.
