The character interactions between several of the characters were very funny and the protagonist was unique.

It’s not incorrect that most highschool fights are a pathetic slapfest, this fight is cringe precisely because it written like a teenage fanfiction instead of a realistic faggot contest of grabbling and missing punches. Your opponent isn’t going to go down from a single Ninja kick to the shin. Even if you have 0 actual experience fighting, your body already has the instinctive knowledge of how to mitigate damage to the lower body thanks to your ancestors ingraining it in to your unconscious reflexes through hundreds of thousands of years of evolution after you assume a human fighting position. His leg would have buckled, not kept straight and taken the full force of a kick.
For a show that loves to flaunt le epic schrodiner’s cat and other such meme science, this scene is a complete embarrassment to actual science regarding how the human body operates.
