I wanted to talk about the three major deaths.
Arbacchio and Bucciarati served a purpose, thematically and story wise.
Narancia was literally “this is a death flag” akin to
>last day on patrol before retirement.
His death didn’t help get to the Bossu or serve as necessary motivation. It just happened for the sake of happening.
Anyone have any have good reasons why it had to happen?
Jojo Part 5 Spoilers thread
they are all shit basic as fuck characters who are nothing but their sappy backstories, and their deaths did not feel impactful whatsoever. goodnight
Look at the position he died.
fuck I hate op's pic
I think Araki was just trying to make Diavolo feel more dangerous than he actually was.
The cringiest part is the shot of all the fucking villains and NPCs floating in heaven with Bruno, Abbacchio and Narancia. Like, what's the message supposed to be here?
In the end, we all go the same place.
It's just a sucker punch death that is supposed to make you hate Diavolo more. Before he died, Narancia was thinking about his well being and future, and not what his friends wanted him to do. All of the development he went through was pointless, and that should piss you off.
Retard alert.
Rick and Morty are garbage.
I guess that would have worked if Araki actually gave us a reason to care about Narancia.
I guess just to piss the reader off because Narancia even in the 90s was a really popular jojo, and yall know how Araki is with killing loved jobros heartlessly. And to get the reader to feel no remorse for Diavolo?
Popular jojo character* Whoops
the first few episodes were great and then the rest is shit
>Jojo Part 5 Spoilers
Who the fuck hasnt read it yet?
I watched it all two months ago lmao.
No, narancia died because his stand would have made the last battle against diavolo too easy.
Same reason why fugo didn't get on the damn boat, he was too OP.
But we already knew how dangerous he was since one-shotting Arbachio which also went the way of Kakyoin and Shigechi by dying to help the MC figure out how to beat/find the main villain.
Narancia just up and died in the finish line.
Swam all that to die at the shore.
I really don’t get it.
What the fuck is this
But what’s the allegory? Narancia died for our sins? What the fuck?
Bucciarati wasn’t very impactful because he’d been dead for a while already kinda, was just living on to fulfill his mission.
Arbacchio’s death got to me, didn’t particularly like him before but I cared and was really surprised by it.
Narancia I liked but I would’ve cared more if I could figure out a purpose to it.
I even cared about Shigechi blowing up, I just really don’t want to believe Narancia died for cheap “get angry at the villain” heat.
Bro if I didn’t care I wouldn’t have gotten this far in the story, just have the final confrontation.
He killed Arbacchio and would kill Bucciarati as well, if I didn’t want Diavolo to get his just deserts I wouldn’t have gotten this far in the story.
I kinda feel like Araki got some angry fan mail over killing none of the main characters in part 4 and felt like he had to to kill a lot of fellas. Still I was hopeful there was some good thematic or story reason.
At least when Abbacchio died he was by himself. In the Requiem arc Diavolo was heavily outnumbered, plus he was just as much of a victim of Chariot Requiem as everyone else was. He was a real underdog, if he didn't get the kill on Narancia he would have looked even more pathetic and it wouldn't feel like an accomplishment to beat him.
It’s just a cringe meme anons lmao.
The guy with the fishing rod did nothing wrong. Rip.
Since Bucciarati was planned to die Araki could’ve written it so he fit that role and also had his poignant ascension to heaven, maybe.
Although I get your point, after Narancia died so suddenly I was on the edge of my seat thinking Guido or Trish could maybe die as well.
It just kind bums me out that after investing so much time on Narancia his point was dying to create tension in the final battle.
Well in islam it is believed a boy was given the likeness of jesus and he was placed on the cross.
Jesus was never crucified.
So Narancia would be fake Jesus dying so Islam Jesus can save us.
this. Pesci and Proscutitto did absolutely nothing wrong and were the best characters in the entire part
Pesci went through more character development in a handful of episodes than the main cast the whole main cast throughout the whole series.
Threadly reminder that Part 5 is the best part.
Sure, right after part 1-4.
And 7 and 8
