pacing was only bad in the last arc imo, because he had to jerk off both riboku and ousen, the wing shit got dragged too long, heki filler didn't help too

Well I imagine that it must be frustrating reading one battle for 3 fucking years, but as someone that just started reading now it was awesome. The coalition arc was just amazing, one of the best manga arcs ever made.

As someone who has been reading weekly since the end of coalition the pacing has always been bad. Everyone piles onto this last big one because it a lot of people are picking it up and then hitting it as when they catch up to the releases. Reading it in one go its a great arc.

The last arc was kinda garbage. Final fight of Houken vs Shin should've been exciting but because everything around it was disappointing and dragged out, It made the fight look desperate from a writing perspective. It's even worse since it ends with an asspull from Kyokai.

Kingdom is one of the best binge reads in the medium and perfect for a storytime. Im waiting OP

The thing I like most about kingdom is when it suddenly becomes dynasty warriors and poor mooks are just getting thrown everywhere. It really cracks me up.

Even one that is still currently being published with 600+ chapters? Well I guess it's too straight forward as an story, with not alot of theories or lore to discuss.
It would still be cool to have more theads for the chapter releases tho.

Agree, when I first started reading it was great because reading it all at once you get a picture of everything and it doesn't lag. Since I caught up I hate it though because the pacing is so horrendous.

No, it's essentially a shounen but in a different setting. The pacing, story structure, and characters have most of the same issues that every battle shounen has. I stopped following like three years ago because holy fuck how many times can you repeat "oh no X has unleashed his new counter strategy / special unit / reinforcements / whatever and Y is on the ropes" cliffhangers and "MC shouts really loud and breaks through the enemy with MC power"?
