Best sports manga?
Best sports manga?
Yes
The only flaw is that the ending feels rushed. There was a whole new guy being hyped up that they were about to face but then it just gets forgotten. Did it get axed out of nowhere?
Anyway, I would rate it a good competitor for that best spot and at least a top five contender.
Slam Dunk and Hajime no Ippo reign above the rest for me, but I do have some other favorites.
kaiji
No. It's a comedy show with sports paint.
Rookies is slightly better imo
eye shield 21
Inoue decided to end the series. Slam Dunk is one of the best selling manga ever. WSJ would not dare to cancel it.
Scans are unreadable.
What shit scans are you reading? Mangasee has high quality scans
Those are not high quality scans. Looks like total shit.
Yes
Ace of Diamond is better as a whole.
>Ruins your series.
>taught Sawamura and Furuya breaking ball overnight
>surprised that Kataokek decided to switch pitchers when Sawamura is doing hot during the last inning against Yakushi
>urges Kataokek to quickly pull Furuya out when he fucks up during Sankou match
I don't know. He seems based to me.
For me, it's RRR
He had no interest in teaching Sawamura. It was purely a happy accident. Remember that he tried to ruin Sawamura's form to practice one match.
>Only played the sport because of a girl.
No.
I think Ippo took too big of a nose dive in quality. The first part doesn't make up for what we have now.
That was when he's suffering yips and before he taught him the change up.
I know he said that he was trying to ruin Sawamura's form the night he taught the changeup but that feels like a retcon to me. Sure he didn't really wants to teach Sawamura and had no high expectation, but he didn't do it out of malice or anything. TJ basically trying to paint Frog as the bad guy.
isn't this guy's entire thing character based around the fact that he looks (and acts) like he's supposed to be "Le Evil Coach pls Hate him" and then every whim and random thing he does ends up helping Seidou in the end?
I enjoy him a lot, he made the team dynamics much more interesting.
Absolutely. Pic related is definitely number 2.
Both coaches are pretty incompetent.
not so much a retcon, it's like he just tries thing in a half-assed way without caring about the result, but he's such a good teacher that things end up improving instead of breaking down.
It's like he's too lazy/bored to be a proper villain even when his intentions are questionable.
The guy is the closest thing to a Mitsuru Adachi character Terajima has ever created.
Yes, absolutely.
Faggot
They lost, and the tournament kept going. That part was just Inoue being cheeky cause he wanted to draw japanese Shaq.
I was watching the anime. Stopped right when and yips were introduced. Really sucked out the fun of the series.
Hopefully one day I'll get back into it.
You mean saved.
Not with that garbage final arc and cop out ending
Nigga looks like generic hateable coach and the author actively tries to put him in a bad light, but he's the best thing that can happens to Seidou at the time.
