So after encountering SM in VS debates I'm confused.
To my impression and memory SM is a strange show considering that SM is more of a white mage who uses purification powers on monsters, something like smite undead. totally useless to something that has no undead status.
I mean how are we to interpret Tuxedo Masks rose? Or that literally Shinto prayer strips work on these monsters? What is even going on when the monsters crash into the hart ???
SM runs away from normal objects thrown by monsters. nothing suggests she has resistance to physical attacks.
Ignoring the anime jump that literally everyone in the show has that lets her scale buildings and never shows up in battles (she should be able to kick away tanks).
What does she have? Her tiara attack? Unless its a magic cutter (this gets discarded really early) its magical damage potential should be not more then a tank shell.
The rest of the feats of the sailor senshi don't go above what is basically standard military equipment like a flamethrower (Mars) or heavy machine gun, based on the damage they do to the surroundings.
SMs attack is basically purification that only works when the evil/corruption level of the monster is not above what SM outputs and the output is boosted with every upgrade.
The purification fails on entities who are extra corrupt and can be argued to be useless on *humans* since no real defeat is made to human antagonists. While monsters are turned back into whatever they originated from (household items, dust) and the humans who are turned into monsters are returned to their human form.
How can anyone get a different interpretation from watching the show?
SM Vs always depends on the enemy having a corruption level that can be purified. her attacks are never used on robots or anything that should have a N/A on corruption.
>So after encountering SM in VS debates I'm confused.
Don't go into vs threads.
Angel Howard
>Don't go into vs threads. Ignoring VS threads what if your opinion on the physical power of SM? Or what the actual fuck her attacks do? If they are not purification. Her attacks don't do physical damage to the surroundings.
Elijah Campbell
Sailor Moon is literally one of the most powerful characters in fiction. There's literally only one person that can beat her in a fight.
>Sailor Moon is literally one of the most powerful characters in fiction. How can anyone get this impression from the show?
Seriously? how do you people interpret her purification failing or what actually happens in the real world when the defeat animation of this season plays?
Caleb Ross
Can you say why? And can you dispute anything said in OP image?
Most of Sailor Moon's feats against huge galactic Enemies involve her defeating them with the power of love, and not landing a single hit on them.
Okay but what if Power-Man fought his evil twin, Anti Power-Man.
Cameron Morgan
>from the show? Found your problem. Read the manga. >only punches matter like muh DBZ
Ayden Cook
Anti Power Man is the faggot that always starts VS threads. He posts nothing but cancer.
Oliver Sullivan
sounds like the best opponent for Power-Man, or we could just have Power-Man fight Power Man, power Man, Power man, power man, or Power_Man
Brayden Barnes
>Most of Sailor Moon's feats against huge galactic Enemies involve her defeating them with the power of love, and not landing a single hit on them. Basically this. I would be interested to know how the SM corruption system works and what the score of a robot programmed to kill every human would look like. Will it automatically get a corruption score or not have one because its only a machine? What would SM purification do to this robot? Can something not have a corruption score? Or be hostile if its good?
The questions that arise.
>Sailor Mars great taste, the show is all about the sexy monsters and the Mars/Jupiter show.
Carson Lewis
She never runs from a real fight. Says so right in the theme song.
>only punches matter like muh DBZ Well yeah, Sailor Moon wouldn't be able to defeat Goku with the power of love.
Tyler Parker
>Found your problem. >Read the manga. Ok, what about if someone wants to analyse the show? These questions still remain.
>>only punches matter like muh DBZ This opens a whole new can of worms see: To my estimation the show operates on a D&D alignment system where SM spams "smite EVIL" and the Shinto strips are "protect from evil" or "repel evil".
How would this work if transplanted to other universes? Does everyone have a alignment then? Can SMs purification work on things that have a good alignment? Or is them becoming hostile automatically give them the evil alignment? Can something have a N/A in the alignment box like a robot? What if SM uses her purification on a thing that has N/A for alignment?
OP made this thread because Beerus defeated Galaxia in DB
Luis Cooper
>Arceus above Beerus. One is something that can not be defeated(unless you manage to kill the Kai counterpart of him on the other side of the universe) and can erase anything. The other is a pokemon with stats that can be defeated.
Luis Lopez
>OP made this thread because Beerus defeated Galaxia in DB more like the talk about SM made me think how strange the monster """""killing""""" in the show is. And how you can not really scale or interpret what is going in the show.
Angel Gray
She would use the ginzuishou and utterly defeat Goku. The same way she defeats the fucking God Emperor or Chaos Emperor or other huge shit.
Bentley Hernandez
She can't even defeat an English test.
Isaac Moore
>the show operates on a D&D alignment system Stopped reading there. Kill yourself.
Chase Smith
English test isn't threatening the lives of everyone on Earth.
Michael Smith
Neither does Goku, thus she can't win.
Tyler Reyes
By that reasoning, they wouldn't be fighting in the first place dummy.
Chase Wilson
You wouldn't even be able to call it a fight if they did.
Nathan Ortiz
I know. Goku would lose in less than a minute.
Eli Flores
Because he'd get bored of Sailor Moon shining a flashlight on him and leave.
Robert Walker
Sure user. Sure. If it makes you sleep better at night.
Carson Watson
>Stopped reading there. Explain what the fuck her purification attacks do then?! They literally don't do physical damage to the surroundings unlike lets say Jupiter attacks.
How do you interpret the monsters going into the animation where they crash into a hart? What is going on in the physical world then?
How can Shinto Strips work on monsters? Are they generic "Repel +50" that work on everyone? What if a Shinto Strip was used on a good character (by accident)?
With that much autism you should literally just kill yourself.
Jonathan Sanchez
The show is really weird if you start thinking about it.
Its cool if you like it I like it also. Only this is my best attempt at understanding what is even going on.
Robert Johnson
Maybe you should stop thinking about it like an autist.
Brayden Roberts
Seething. Seething Sailor Moon fanboy after getting exposed that his show if not fit for VS threads.
Nathan Harris
I also add that MS uses her purification attack on humans who get turned into monsters and this returns the transformed human to normal.
Doesn't make sense if its something else then a purification spell that purges all evil.
Nathan Hall
I kind of feel this is reductive; as I've spent more than enough time combing through Sailor Moon attack and powerscale lore from the 90's anime, the manga/crystal 25th anniversary animation, and the 08 live action series.
90's anime and 08 live action really dial back the power scale abilities for the Dark Kingdom arc (all the way through in the anime and to the halfway point of live action) and don't have usagi getting more of her hax powers...
I don't want to get into /tg/ talk here, but she's a CoDZilla. Don't fuck with Whitemage. Yeah she's healing spec but that's not all she does. Laser from her tiara, space flight, existing in a vacuum, teleportation, and straight up blasting things and tanking world ending magic.
Comparing fire magic to a flame thrower just...just reductive because magic fire>tech fire
Michael Kelly
>Comparing fire magic to a flame thrower just...just reductive because magic fire>tech fire Its based on the damage to the surroundings, sure you can say its magic fire however the damage to the surroundings is what most people will use for calculations.
>existing in a vacuum Not that impressive considering anyone with a space suit can do this.
I like to know how you interpret her 90s anime monster """killings""""" what is going on when the animation of the monster getting defeated (monster falls and crashes into a hart for example) plays?
And is the SM world operating on a D&D alignment system where SM can purge evil?
>I kind of feel this is reductive; as I've spent more than enough time combing through Sailor Moon attack and powerscale lore from the 90's anime, the manga/crystal 25th anniversary animation, and the 08 live action series. Do you have this condensed/saved? I like to see all of this. I'm actually interested.
