as a grill myself, i feel like asuka can the most realistic character in the cast at times. specifically her fixation on kaji, the idea that she needs to prove to him how grown up she is and then he will fall in love with her and "make her a woman". teenage girls can get ruthless about older men, and it's not a pretty look, but i personally think it's an honest depiction.
the pressure to be perfect, the clawing need to prove to the world that you're valuable and special and worthy of being noticed, and relieving that pressure through acts of cruelty to those around you... it was never my experience, but it was an experience i've seen very often and can easily empathize with.
