I am thought about going in gold ETFs but it seems way to overprized now.

The thing with automation is the parts needs to be designed for assembly in an automated fashion, so parts will likely have a higher cost, after that the costs are nil - maintenance, QC, feeding(filling hoppers and whatnot), and energy. I am surprised that Amazon still packs boxes by hand, the amount of human labor is insane. Remember that if we go to automation, the people working these jobs will do the following as stated: maintenance, and feeding/upkeep, it will free up human resource for greater endeavors such as space exploration. Farming needs automation, indoor farming needs to become a reality, energy/land costs are the issue. Also automated [electric] trucking as well.

No, coding was a valuable skill, now most of the basic work can be automated and the rest is getting replaced by Indians working for dirt cheap. Save the cope about how terrible they are at coding and how it led to the Boeing Max problem. > trading is parasitic Trading adds liquidity to the market. If you ever bought or sold a stock or exchanged currency, you benefited from this.

You allocate capital, investing has purpose, scalping does not.

SSR is about to merge with ASR.TO though which might boost it, but BAR (etf) has been climbing for years and seems like a good pick if and when things go south soon.
>now most of the basic work can be automated You have to code the automation. GUI-based automation is young, imperfect, and way too limited in functionality while taking up way too much computational resources. >the rest is getting replaced by Indians working for dirt cheap Not in Defense/national security lmao >how it led to the Boeing Max problem Do you have evidence that rajesh was working in the Boeing max? I would be surprised if you had a roster of the project team. Must mean you either work at Boeing or you’re full of shit.
Why are normies so financially illiterate? Is it that hard to Google why something like implementing a 90% tax on income over X amount is a retarded idea?
Well even BAR took 2 years to recover its high in 2017

We reallocate resources.from.bad.to good allocaters. Thats a useful service and if done in the long run leads to more and more capital to allocate correctly

I have to talk smooth, look good, and hit things with wrenches sometimes it pays the bills
what would you do with 500k~ >take it all out into 100% cash, do minimum one guaranteed profitable trade a year all in on a stock for a few % or more >put it all in bluechips and tech and just stop looking forever

it's not as if this shit is taught in school. Normies might learn a skill that they could use to make themselves more secure and less dependent on mr nosenberg
