How did Araki fuck up King Crimson's ability so badly, it doesn't even follow its own rules

King Crimson would be a cool ability if he didn't do random unrelated shit sometimes. Sometimes, King Crimson just works exactly like The World and then it goes back to normal KC

i just like jojo because it's weird, has cool fight scenes and some cool characters and designs. But it's pretty low on the scale in terms of being my favorite shounen or battle anime. And that's because the writing is consistently poor.

Epitaph makes a prediction up to 10 seconds in the future. This prediction is absolute, it is [Fate] itself

King Crimson allows Diavolo and only Diavoli to escape [Fate]. Everything happens as Epipath foretold but King Crimson is removed from the consequences. At the end of the activation everybody but Diavolo has arrived at the predicted results. This accounts for 100% of King Crimson's bullshit.

What he actually says is that only Diavolo is removed from the events of skip time. Diavolo knows the result of the skipped time because of Epitaph. Narancia was fated to be impaled, Trish was fated to lose her arm, Giorno was fated to be blinded, so he still commits those actions, but even if Diavolo is fated to be shot he escapes that fate in skipped time. He alone can do this, that's the whole point of King Crimson

That's how his ability SHOULD work, but it doesn't. King Crimson is supposed to skip time and then he is able to freely reposition himself while his opponent continues to do what they are doing. King Crimson has no influence on anything until skipped time ends. The problem is that we see him cut off Trish's hand and then kidnap her during skipped time and he also kills Narancia during skipped time. According to his own rules, King Crimson couldn't have done anything to those guys
