That's... Literally every other form of economics. It relies on a society agreeing that a thing has value. The same can be said of Bitcoin, and autographed baseball cards, and gold ounces. The whole thing falls apart if people disagree on the value of that thing.

Because maker set up an inefficient and clunky method to derive a stable coin from. That’s why they need this complicated collateral scheme and governance decisions. Ampl handles everything with code and math, in a very simple but elegant way. And that’s why Ampl is the better solution. And that’s why Ampl will continue to climb the ranks leaving maker in the dust.
