Today we dive into two of Zig Forums's favorite manga and will discuss which series had more merit over the other in various categories. We will seek to post with good form and proper thought. May the game be in your favor.
Black Clover VS My Hero Academia: Which did I think was better?
>two of Zig Forums's favorite manga
two of Zig Forums's favorite manga
I will be soft-facilitating this discussion. Topic one: Asta vs Deku.
Shit, wrong pic.
Topic 2: the mentor characters
Yami vs All Might.
Topic 3: the mangaka's IRL partners.
Mrs. Tabata vs Horikoshi's musty hand.
Is this even a question? Bow to your king.
They're both absolute garbage that only faggots watch/read. Herofags as a fanbase are worse though since they can't take a joke and get really easily butthurt.
Simply reply to a post to continue that topic or add your own topics.
TOPIC 4: Plot and arc structure.
Entirety of BNHA up to OFA vs AFO VS Black Clover's elf saga.
Last chapter finally converted me.
Yami is one of the best anikis a man could wish for.
Are you guys okay? Why do you always need debates on this? Can't you just enjoy something?
TOPIC 5: Setting/worldbuilding
TOPIC 6: foreshadowing
TOPIC 7: character relationships and depth
That's all the topics for now. Personally I believe Black Clover is the best shonen manga of the past 5 years and I have read 1000+ manga.
Facts. Although you posted last last chapter. The actual last chapter got me in a while different way.
Sayonara, Yami danchou...
sayonara
world: black clover
art: mha
mc: draw (asta is lame; deku is boring)
cast: black clover (they DO something useful)
power system: mha
stakes: not existent in both
overall story: mha
Biggest issue (BC): Power creep so early
Biggest issue (MHA): slow pace and school setting
honestly both are pretty meh. but black clover's somehow endearing to me, even asta grew on me after a while, because the black bulls and the people he befriends act like actual goddamn comrades and friends in the anime field of battle sorta way. hero academia never really felt like it did that besides a couple character connections, everybody's classmates so they work together out of necessity but it never really felt like they bothered to develop the relationships as friends, comrades or rivals. it's almost sort of static besides the kirishima/bakugo dynamic.
both suck both have generic characters and plot i like black clover more if only it wasnt written by a gradeschooler
Easy Yami is a better mentor. All Might is still one of my favorite role model characters though.
>Black Clover is the best shonen manga of the past 5 years and I have read 1000+ manga.
Are we supposed to fall for this bait?
Story: my hero academia
Art: my hero academia
Character Interactions: Black Clover
Asta better, his ultimate goal is to become wizard king to bone a Nun.
I already wrote this elsewhere, but you are actually conditioned/brainwashed, you NPC scum. Both of the statements I made are facts.
Am I supposed to fall for this bait?
spoilers WHEN???
In BC the stakes were literally destroying the entire Clover Kingdom and now it's essentially bringing the Berserk eclipse into the entire world
BC doesn't have bad power creep, I don't know what you're on.
Relatively well said
Name ONE black clover character with more than 20 panels of screen time that is generic. And how is it written by a gradeschooler? I'm not a fan of Madoka but I assume you're one of the people who sees the cute girls on the surface and lose all intellectual ability to immerse.
You're delusional if you think BNHA has better story than anything. Explain yourself.
Not bait.
The next issue is in 2 weeks..........
what report does this fall under?
All of them
>1000+ manga
Unless you’ve been at it dedicatedly for 20+ years or consider oneshots and twitter 4p as manga, I find that hard to believe
Hero academia started out more promising. Both are pretty generic, but that's par for the course with shonen anyway, but black clover seemed like such a shameless Naruto ripoff that it was easier to hate.
As both series progressed it became clear that clover had way more creative abilities, a better plot, better characters, and that hero academia was shallow trash with some of the worst asspulls in shonen history.
one you are tarded 2 asta is a generic try hard mc that naturaly wins over alies by trying hard (naruto) wins fights with asspull(deamon form....) and asspull magic. is surrounded by generic one trope characters that are just gimmics, has the arguable one of the worst girls chasing after him (watching noel interact with him is like pulling teeth) it rips off sooo many shows but i guess at the end of the day its just a shittier less enjoyable blue exorcist. bet you think poki...emon is deep.
>Black Clover is the best shonen manga of the past 5 years and I have read 1000+ manga.
i hope you are either really retarted or just new to anime
I'm assuming he's referring to new shonen series, and in that case I don't see the problem.
Due to the current power scaling I can't see Black Clover reaching as many chapters as Naruto or One Piece. They're slowly already reaching godlike powers which for example Naruto and Sasuke reached in late shippuden
Go back to discord faggot
Asta > Deku
Well Black Clover did settle pretty high and pretty fast for arcs it wanted to conclude, the series has only been around since 2017 after all. I subscribe to the idea that something doesn't have to last forever so long as it tells what it wants to tell.
kimetsu no yaiba
i like it better than fairy tail both are generic tho eish the writter would actually try to deepen his characters tho im kindof sick of them just being their gimmick 24/7 maybe pull a gon from hunter hunter or something
Black Clover doesn't try to do anything new or original, but it gets the core elements of shonen just right. BnHA is trying to be more but is crippled by Deku and Bakugo's relationship.
