Why do so many anime never go full yuri, but instead constantly throwing red herrings at us? If you don't want full yuri in your work, then don't tease your audience with it.

I don't think it's necessarily a "3DPD Whore" thing to do. It makes for an interesting premise and setting, when the entire school swoons over the tomboyish track club ace, just because she's a little bit masculine.
