hot tomboys
They're the best when being over the top. Your pic related is boring compared to Slam Dunk.
I really see no point to doing >muh realistic sports anime
kind of gay
I liked Princess Nine. Wish there was an epilogue or after story.
>best when being over the top
no
Other than niche sports I dont really watch them nowadays, because the over the top reaction and action are pretty much the same, shit gets boring super fast especially after watching/reading a couple of them.
Yes, that's literally kino compared to the boring shit OP posted.
Extremely based if made by Dezaki or Yuasa
>muh unexplained feeling that lets me go super saiyan and completely discard all strategy
wow epic
I liked the craziness of kuroko no basugay, but I've been really enjoying ahiru no sora desu
>also hajime no ippo is one of the goats, no question
This one sucks though
The only i liked are "mai ball" and "beach stars".
The others are boring shit.
Are there any decent ones grounded in reality where the main characters don't have these ridiculous special moves and fantastical magic-like powers when pulling of techniques (like Prince of Tennis) or horribly caricatured bodies (like Baki).
I just want a normal manga about a kid striving for the sport he loves. Unironically card/boardgames type shows actually manage this quite well where gameplay is entirely grounded in reality.
>They're the best when being over the top. Your pic related is boring compared to Slam Dunk.
By your logic, is Kuroko better than Slam Dunk?
slam dunk is mostly grounded in reality
they're OK
Diamond no Ace
OP's pic, Slam Dunk, Baby Steps.

of course, you're not going to get lightning flashing by your eyes, but pretty much all concepts in kuroko are just exaggerated from existing basketball skills or concepts
All of them are the same. Huge waste of time.
>exaggerated concepts
>guy who can copy moves perfectly
>guy who can shoot from any distance perfectly
>guy who can steal moves
>guy who is invisible
>guy who has sharingan
ok
Captain Tsubasa was THE sport anime basically here in europe for a long time.
Other than that, i liked Kuroko also for the characters interactions..
Slam dunk is the anti-captain tsubasa.
And hugely inspired naruto as well.
>guy who is invisible
I didnt think Kuroko was that bad initially, him having to barely touch the ball for misdirection to work since it had the most presence on the court was a sensible downside. But later on he was doing drives and shooting while still using misdirection
>Ahiru no Sora
More like Slideshow no Sora or Ahiru no Pacing. I generally like sports shows but this one is fucking painful to sit through. Even more so since it never delivers on any of its cliffhangers and has more inner monologues than actual basketball. Good luck trying to figure out what the hell is going on during a match given that it's just a collection of still images thrown together and padded out with irrelevant shit. Imagine Kuroko no Basuke except with zero budget and even more talking and worse pacing. If you want an actual good sports anime, go watch the new Major anime.
yes, that's what you call exaggerated concepts
kuroko isn't trying to be realistic but it isn't magical
Not as good as sports manga.
Do you really not know what the word "exaggerated" means?
Watched/read them often as a kid but not nowadays. I did like Run with the Wind though.
do you retards not know the difference between exaggeration and impossibility
