Why are anime OSTS so lacking?

The only anime that i can think of has a good OST all the way through is FMA. Every other anime has only a few good tracks, like SAO season one, or it's all trash. Here is my favorite track btw: youtube.com/watch?v=q3FDnl2PkPs&list=PLlHW409pqBA2KT8E4oY3qJJMd5bf0WqD7&index=18&t=0s

My favourite composer nowadays is Kensuke Ushio. Ping Pong, A Silent Voice, Devilman, Boogiepop, Liz and the Blue Bird, Japan Sinks.

Because you don't listen to enough soundtracks.

Nigger, are you serious? I'm not going to say FMA OST isn't good, but there are so many anime OSTs that I would consider much more interesting and inspired that it would take me hours just to think of them and list them all. Japan is a goldmine for soundtracks that, like FMA OST, still somewhat adhere to classical principles. You just have to watch more shows and find your favorite composers.
I will list at least a couple of them with a few examples, but it will be by no means exhaustive.

The thread is dying and it's too much work to remember composers and choose pieces, so I will post just a couple.

I doubt anyone really cares, so I will stop here, but I could definitely go on and on if I wanted. Kenji Kawai, Yoshihisa Hirano, Kohei Tanaka, Taku Iwasaki, Kow Otani, Kaoru Wada, Yasuharu Takanashi, Yugo Kanno, Hiroshi Sakimoto just to name a few others.

How about you listen to more soundtracks that aren't MAL top 5

Why do faggots with only superficial understanding of the topic at hand always like to make such sweeping generalizations? Why not create a thread where people post their favorite osts to broaden your tastes and see for yourself instead of outright stating that FMA is the only such show (which is a ridiculous notion).

FMA 03 has a better soundtrack than Brotherhood, how could you be so close and yet still so blind. Please watch more shows and not just the most popular ones.

Rumble Of The Scientific Thriumph
Hanazeve Caradhina
The Fourth Layer
Rebirth
Those Everyday Feels
Transcendance And Hanazeve
Prayer And Immolation
Dark Reg Theme
Pathway
Made In Abyss OP(if you count those)
Reiner and Bertholt transformation theme
Tetsuo theme
Castle In The Sky credit song
all attack on titan openings besides the one of season 3 part 2
Spirit vs Spirit
Swordland
In the blind

And thats just off the top of my head.

This, I even listed Brothers as the first piece by Michiru Oshima in my previous post in hopes that OP will see the light.

>no Made in Abyss
>no Houseki no Kuni
>no Takkyuu Musume
>no Princess Principal
I guess it's my fault for expecting more than overrated hipster shit from Zig Forums

TTGL?

Why do you people always want others to exclusively list the same couple of currently popular soundtracks over and over again? If everyone only ever posts MiA OST, nobody will ever discover anything new.

>eureka seven

Really? Fucking really? That garbage of an anime and it's even more trashy generic "DISCO FUNK PARTY" trash dubstep

Shingeki no Kyojin OST is nice

I like the Rasetsu one but it's too short, also the riot OST makes me think of Verdi's requiem
.

What makes you so interested in this stuff? The people behind OSTs I mean.

Haven't watched any Eureka Seven, but, for example, this sounds pretty far off from you describe.

Well, among other things, I simply like to listen to this kind of music a lot, and it's more convenient for me to go by composers rather than anime shows. I'm also an amateur composer and take inspiration from there.

Watch more anime.

I'm going to tell you that that OST recommendation image is going on close to 10 years old. Make an updated OST recommendation list, then. I remember being part of the thread that made this, so I'm absolutely positive it predates things like MiA by more than several years.

Faggot OP BTFO

Someone needs to add Magic Knight Rayearth to this because HOLY FUCK.

The konosuba ost is surprisingly really good. Like the alcanretia theme is just straight up beautiful.

Sometimes I want to compose something myself but I don't know anything about music
Favorite composers would be
Satoru Kousaki
Yukari Hashimoto
Takeshi Senoo
Nomi Yuuji

That's just anime ost composers though

>mushishi ost
Shit nigga, thanks for reminding me of that gem of a ost. Love how eerie but beautiful most of the tracks are.

It's by no means complete, and everyone's gonna have their own tastes. I would personally also add something like Kurenai or at least get Ken Muramatsu SOME kind of recognition.

But the point is to be a good Babby's Anime OST Starter Pack, and I think it does a fantastic job of that, minus the fact that it is quite an old image and has pretty much nothing from the last decade on it. The newest entry on that thing is, what, Madoka from 2011?
