We never meet Ging. The story is just Gon, Leorio, Kurapika, and Killua exploring the world chasing after him forever.

Gon would be dead after sacrificing all his nen and it would actually be a meaningful moment for Killua's development.

The group would stick together for contrived plot reasons even though Leorio and Kurapika's main goals are different from Gon's. Yorknew would be the halfway point of the series and it and every arc onward would be at least a hundred chapters long.

Characters would be more innocent, Killua's killstreak would only be implied and there will be a lot more minor characters in every arc, also no one dies.
