My Hero Academia

Anyone else is upset at how she got shafted by Hori in the last chapter? It was going to be her big moment but then ends up crying and had to be saved by a strong male character

No, she's garbage and will always be garbage.

If you are mad that a female character got shafted in MHA, then you are a fool who hasn't learned anything over more than 280 chapters.

Bakugo gets saved by kirishima all the time but no one complains.

>in MHA
Just say in battle shonen

No , its more kirishima X mina moments for me.i need my fix.

It is, yeah, especially how she was hyped. Kirishima's moment was cool, but I would have prefered a team moment between the two of them.
I'm not expecting anything for my gal Hagakure, so at least I won't get upset I guess.

Fuck you, she is great?

>shafted
It never made any narrative sense for Mina to succeed here anyways. The story was always building up for Kirishima to triumph and rise to the occasion against Machia. Plus, Mina promised to watch him rise as a great hero. Which is exactly what he’s doing. She is the one watching his journey.

There’s also a positive development for Mina too, here: Remember when Kirishima went against Rappa? Kirishima had just come off riding a high after beating a low-level thug sometime before meeting Rappa. It was only when he met Rappa he finally got a reality check. For once in his budding hero career, Kirishima had finally learned the truth of his mortality and froze in fear. This is something that Aizawa has instilled in them since the beginning. They’re not invincible. They’re humans. Nevertheless, they need to overcome any challenges that come their way while still being aware of their mortality.

The point of Aizawa’s first lesson is to have a healthy dose of fear at all times and to harness that fear and turn it into courage. That’s what Kirishima went through with Rappa, and what Mina is going through right now, albeit on a much higher scale of danger. I have no doubt she’ll be able to use this experience to drive her forward, just like Kirishima did.

So basically she didnt grow since she met Machia the first time and is just a tool for Kirishima. What a way to fuck over her fans

Not a fujo, just know trash when I see it. She's a worthless loser.

In those instances the narrative still went out of it's way to show how strong and capable Bakugo is. In Mina's case, she shit her pants and froze. Kinda sucks if you're a Mina fan.

We saw by means of her gloves Toru being brought out of the fire, so we know she's safe.

Well said.

>she is great?
See, even you aren't sure.

Ouch.

>She is the one watching his journey.
So her character is just a cheerleader rather than the heroic figure that we were told she is through the machia flashback
> Kirishima had just come off riding a high after beating a low-level thug sometime before meeting Rappa
No? He let him get away
> It was only when he met Rappa he finally got a reality check.
No? He constantly failed in the story.
>Kirishima had finally learned the truth of his mortality and froze in fear
He froze not because of mortality but because he was scared by nature like in his fucking flashback. It has nothing to do with not realizing his mortality.

When a male character is saved by a woman no one complains. Maybe they should just stop including female characters in series, they would save themselves a lot of problems.

Well, hori is trying to show as much as possible his side characters because there a poll coming up. The results is that everyone gets small screen time and cool moments (by male characters) are the priority.

Completely agreed

>someone in class 1-A finally has a chance to contribute, even slightly, after being irrelevant for most of the story
>even give her a color page this week
>she fucks up and someone who's already had multiple heroic moments gets another one on the pile

god hori is a terrible writer

I thought it was an obvious character cycle for Kiri to save her. She'll probably redeemed herself eventually, people forget everyone looked pathetic at one point, Bakugo and the other heavy weights were getting clowned by Compress

noooooooooooooooooo you can't just call my homestuck fantroll a loser

Bakugo has spent half his time in the series being a damsel in distress or as a piece of meat fought over by his beta orbiters Deku, Kirishima and Todoroki.

He has not had a single battle that mattered. All of his supposedly important matches have been against other women.

Mina is confident, this will likely not break her the way it did Kirishima. Plus this can setup for a mutual supporting relationship like Mirio and Tamaki

honestly bakugo has been built up as super smart with a strong quirk to match, but he really hasn't done anything noteworthy. he kind of sucks.

>Strong and capable
>Plz just go
>Eyes beg deku to help with the monster from chap 1
>Kirishima takes a deadly hit for him every single movie
>Deku has to share his power with him cuz his isn't enough
Oh fuck off

who cares about Mina? post rare bakugo ships

As far as I know she's always been a fringe character who really cares

Deku beta orbiters Bakugo and actually gets sad when Bakugo shuts him down. He begs Kacchan to share his hero name with him and gets told to go die. Instead of being a normal person at a party, he spends his time creeping on his Kacchan. Bakugo's also stumped Kirishima and Deku's shit in. Meanwhile, Mina doesn't do much and the one time she got the spotlight she shit herself. Kek.

Bakugo did 3 important things:
- got kidnapped
- saved natsuo
- blew shiggy

He's almost irrelevant for the plot and the most important thing he did is still getting kidnapped

He just brought Shiggy to his knees. Keep seething.

>Kacchan
I remember some user explain that this is equivalent to calling him like Buttercup or Pumpkin in Japanese some real cutesy shit that a boy shouldn't be using to refer to another boy especially teenagers.
