Oh shit, we've hit Alicization Lasting now? I need to catch up.

This has got to be the most elaborate recap episode.

> recap episode
> He's lacking critical information

I love the details on his face here. You can just really see the pain.

More ryona when?

This very episode.

I've heard about this nightmare sequence before but it just seems like an elaborate recap. Though if it does have a substantial plot relevance, I'd like it a lot.
Why did he suddenly turn into a spic or is that is blood being drained and the lighting messing with me?

Some LNfag please tell me

On a scale of 1-10 how much suffering happens this episode

Please don't skip the heart scene.

It's about Kirito reliving the worst moments of his past, including scenes that you haven't seen before. It's about his guilt which is what he needs to overcome in order to come back. But as his memories comes back to him and he's forced to face it, his mind takes a really, really dark turn.

If is from I think it is, saying that he's bleeding out wouldn't be too far off.

He completely fails to cope, suffers a complete mental breakdown and tries to commit suicide over Eugeo's death. At this point he's convinced that he doesn't deserve to live since he's to blame for Eugeo's death. So he tries to fix that

10.

You literally posted an image where he has blood on his hand. Where the fuck would that come from if they skipped it?

They could always have it bloody without showing why it is so and every anime-only will ask "why is his hand bloody?". You can never fully trust A1.

True. True.

But they literally showed Leafa getting a spear through the skull last episode, I don't think they're gonna tone it down lmfao.

This but amped up to 11

Not clicking on the spoilers but that actually sounds pretty good. Reminds me if Subaru's "face your past" from Re Zero but from the looks of it, instead of Subaru facing the regret of not seeing his parents ever again it's like him giving a look at various timelines where he died and looking at the resulting suffering. More anime and manga should do this kind of thing

Are there a big overlap between Re Zero fans and SAO fans? I keep seeing innocuous posts about these two series together with no hostility directed at the other.

It's kinda similar to what Subaru goes through in Re: Zero, but ironically with a waaaay darker conclusion. If they adapt this accurately this is gonna be the darkest episode of SAO, by a fair bit.

We're all LNfags and like suffering. I think that'd do it?

holy shit this episode might actually kill me

Makes sense. I don't mean anything by it, it's just a neat observation.

Kirito... Now stand up, my best friend, my hero.

I personally haven't noticed that, but they're both also just very popular LN series. Makes sense that there'd be a fair bit of overlap.

ANOOOOOOON NOOOOO

I feel like I'm gonna cry in this episode.
user why

How will they deal with the absence of Coper?

They'll 100% cut it out. Unfortunate but the First Day probably wouldn't get adapted.

Yeah Coper has to get axed. It makes sense. There's no way they could include him and also explain the context and why it matters in a way that makes sense for the anime. We would've basically needed a First Day OVA for that.
