Holy shit why are Zig Forums mods such absolute fucking faggots?

Very fun series, didn't watch the movies but I'm looking to S2. And Tiger was the best boy of the year

They are completely different things. KR and Ultraman are classic tokusatsu, T&B is a character drama with people who just dress up for a job.

It's mostly a great character drama, the action is also good but that isn't the focus of the series.

The cgi is distracting, everthing else looks great.

It was fine. I would've li8ked it more if it had been released either a few years earlier or few years later. I's got that aful inbetween cgi

Season 2 is going to be set after Tiger & Bunny - The Rising and the 3rd short that aired after it, the first movie also has 40 minutes of new content set before episode 3, you should check them out along with the first two shorts.

What thread?

Yeah, the cgi is weak, but at least it isn't Clangserk level.

My favourite superhero show of all time. You should have been here to watch it live with the threads, it was such a fun time.

Yeah, we had a lot of fun OC.

>mentioning T&B and Clangserk in the same sentence at all
Jesus Christ, how horrifying.

I meant Tiger & Bunny's cgi was fine, even good for back then, apart from a few bad cuts; it's nowhere near as bad as Clangserk's.

I did like the gimmick of superheroes being sponsored...also Kaede is best girl and Lunatic is best boy

I wonder if Nishida is still interested in the idea of nerfing Kaede down to being able to use one power only once like he mentioned. I liked how the staff said that her powers are too unpredictable for a hero job, that she's not that interested in it and has her own hobbies, and that even Kotetsu himself is against the idea of putting his daughter in danger; it makes the characters feel more human.

It's way more likable than it has any business being for the market brand show sunrise let the team assigned do whatever the fuck with.

Kotetsu's a really strong protagonist. Overall its a lot stronger in general than kr or um.

>market brand show sunrise let the team assigned do whatever the fuck with
What? They got the sponsors because Sunrise was against the idea of an adult, bearded MC and gave them a very small budget.
They were even told to scrap or change Nathan because his original sponsors didn't like the idea of having an okama on the team but instead of changing Nathan they dropped that sponsor instead.

>kr or um
?

One of the best shows of that decade but like others said, it’s a character drama with superhero paint and not comparable to those other shows in terms of genre.

>instead of changing Nathan they dropped that sponsor instead.
Incredibly based

It pulled the "heroes as salarymen/idols" thing better than Boku no Hero at least

That staff were very vocal about what type of show they wanted to create, Ozaki even said that superhero anime and adult bearded MCs weren't a thing that was considered a good investment and that the industry though women wouldn't buy something like that but it turned into a surprise hit with a mostly female fanbase instead.

Well, it came first, and it had a proper idea of how to utilize that setting since it was one of it's pillars in world building the staff wanted to show, it's a salaryman drama for adults first and foremost after all.

Yeah, that's what I said. They let them have complete creative control. I didn't say they showered them with money or went wow you guys are so great so smart, just that they let them do whatever the fuck and backed off on forcing them to do anything.

They were low key forcing them to change some stuff though, it's the staff that refused to budge until they got their way, there was also some stuff about the staff getting bullied or something but I can't remember the exact issue they had.

>How does it compare to Kamen Rider and Ultraman
Unfavourably.

Because they aren't similar

If you want an anime more in line with Kamen Rider and Ultraman you should watch Samurai Flamenco instead.

This is true, Samflam has the proper toku feel to it while Tiger & Bunny is a character drama wearing a superhero cape.

I enjoyed it a whole lot. I was thinking of rewatching it lately and follow the order an user has made how to watch the series, movies and everything else related to it.

It's one of the few shows that works well in chronological order instead of airing order and the nip voice acting is perfect.
