Togashi is 54 years old. He's been working on Hunter x Hunter for almost half of his entire life. Why would he even care about a story he started 20+ years ago? He's already old, and probably wants to retire and spend the rest of his days with his family, playing DQ and relaxing instead of busting his back drawing cartoons.
