I often read shonen for the same reason I watch slasher and thriller movies. Because don't provoke too much thought, and if I have spare time while waiting for the much more important manga that I read to come out, I can binge read them and discuss them with friends who are only really more into the 'entry level' mangas. I don't see myself as a huge shonen fan, nor do I really associate myself with the genre too much, but I enjoy it nonetheless.

Sure, I could be a moron. I guess only morons can look at something and extract the face value shock of emotions simple things like shonen can give me. Or maybe I'm just not a particularly serious person, who doesn't feel the need to over-analyse things like the majority of Hunterchads do. I just enjoy things because they are available, and have salvageable characters within their stories. This rules out things like Fairy Tail, SAO etc - because they truly waste my time, and offer no interesting ideas or characters. Generally though, some of the more recent shonens have actually had some really fun characters, who have kept me from dropping them as a whole. As I said before, I have way too much time on my hands in general, especially seeing as most my favourite mangakas have an irregular or monthly schedule. Therefore, shonen, as well as social interaction and art are some of my escapes, or in other words "things I enjoy".

It certainly does not come out of nowhere though, no matter how you look at it. And the ability does not break any rules. The hatsu activates upon zetsu, which is giving him 10 seconds of future sight. That's it. The hatsu does not interfere with the zetsu since it was activated just before complete zetsu. When he moves, or changes the vision, he has already broken the zetsu.
